So glad to have Victor as our guide, he made sure the whole journey was worth it from the very start to finish. The pick up time was very early in the morning but Victor’s energy was unmatched. He was enthusiastic, humorous and very intelligent when touring us around historical sights that we passed in the bus. He speaks perfect English too! One thing I’d like to commend him the most is his organisation skills, he made sure everyone in the group understood the timings and itinerary of our experience. Everything was laid out so clearly and his communication skills were excellent. He took really good care of us, any questions we had, even unrelated to the cruise we booked, he was happy to guide us and recommend the best options for us. He’s super honest, caring and very good at his job. Overall, our experience was great. Although the cruise had a tiny few outdated decorations and facilities that needed to be fixed (e.g the japanese toilet in our cabin bathroom), and that there wasn’t any wifi in our cabin, we still made the most out of it. We decided to get off our phones and enjoy some karaoke at the sundeck (this was my personal fave experience). Food was great, we were well fed and a lot of options for us since my fiancé and i do not eat pork. They even made sure the meat used at the spring roll making workshop was chicken — we appreciated that a lot. :) Best to bring in your own snacks and drinks to the boat though, everything on the cruise is overpriced. Highly recommend to enjoy a cruise for a night if you don’t wanna spend a hefty amount in a super fancy one. It’s just as good of an experience!
Everything was great..Kevin was super and very helpful. the food was excellent and the crew were very friendly. The boat is very clean and comfortable.
Staff very friendly but only a handful spoke English which meant cross communication occurred. Twin suit booked, very dated, bathrooms even worse. No towels on arrival, a/c did not work. You have to pay for all extras, not able to refill water bottle. Lunch and dinner well below standard offered in general in Vietnam, and not a lot of it. It’s a budget version but with a price tag, wish we had gone with another cruise operator. Halong bay is splendid, but over crowded.
It was a wonderful experience with Mr. Le Hieu Cody our Tour Guide. He was Such nice person. We Like the activity (1) Fishing (2) Cooking experience (3) Photo suites (4) Entertainment evening (5) Bamboo boat riding (6) Yoga activity and many others. Rooms were beautiful and clean, especially the large windows. The private balcony was also a great touch. Food was Very good and the staff were all exceptional. Our Tour guide, Cody , was very organized, knowledgeable and had great sense of humour. We had a cooking demo, had fun singing karaoke and tried squid fishing. Would recommend staying for 3 days 2 nights if we to explore more of Halong Bay. We stayed for 2 days and 1 night and got to explore only the wet caves and Boating. Note when We are travelling to the Bay, it was quite Rainy and cloudy, cold when we went on 26th February-2025. Pack warmer clothes (for around 15-20 degrees Celsius);. Pack swimwear as well, you’ll get a chance to swim during day on the tours. Overall, we had a great time. Regards Alkesh & Medha Kapadia ( From India )
We were picked up on time and everything during the two days was enjoyable - it is well worth taking this trip as the scenery is magnificent. Our problems arose with the La Pandora boat - our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. However, there was no hot water for even a wash, and definitely not a shower. We tried before supper and again after. They told us the kitchen and other guests had used all the hot water. The lunch meal on arrival was good, supper was adequate. The early morning breakfast was inadequate - the buffet literally ran out of food! We asked if there was any more, but no more appeared. Our later brunch was okay, but nothing was to the standard we were expecting after eating out at reasonably priced local restaurants in Hanoi. Take the cruise but maybe not on this boat?
A wonderful experience- Victor, our tour guide was superb. The boat is comfortable and exceptionally clean. The programme runs like clockwork and is very well organised.
Highly recommend doing the two night cruise. We were the only ones on our boat that did the two nights and it was sooooo much better than those who only did the one! It allowed us to have a good chance to relax, do all the activities and also go to Cat Ba island, which the others didn't get. The day trip to the island and village was a highlight and away from all the other large boats. Our cabin was a bit tired but the bed comfortable and the view to die for! They had a cooking class, sunset party and karaoke in the evenings. The food was good and plentiful. The staff were brilliant. Very accommodating with our three year old. The bus ride to and from Hanoi to Halong Bay was long but comfortable. Our tour guides were amazing. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
Food ...substantial, well balanced, buffet observation...there's slight wastage, needs updating of the numbers of pax, Accommodation... room is spick and span..clean ,very warm welcoming to see the crew and the cruise captain Staff crew... very entertaining , very coperative working team, co ordinate and help with one other. But suggest more crew training for upgrading. Activities... Light and relaxation.. kayaking, swimming ,boat ride , fellowship party meeting friends from all parts of the word and cooking demonstration . Tour guide... Remarkable guide Mr Kelvin Hung. He s able to create family atmosphere ,tenacity person, versatile, his command of English is spectacular, very considerate and caring too for the elderly. He is also very instructive and communicating. "3 cheers to our tour guide Mr Kelvin Hung"
We enjoyed our cruise to Ha Long Bay. The guide, Sam, was friendly, knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. From the exterior the boat looked old but our cabin was very nice. It was a good size and we particularly liked the large window which gave great views. There were several activities on offer during the two day cruise including kayaking, swimming, fishing and a cave boat trip. The food varied. We would give the starters and mains 8/10, the buffet 6/10 but the desserts a disappointing 3/10. The staff onboard were all friendly and helpful. The only downside of the trip was a very noisy family group which spoilt the trip for us and other passengers. We do understand that there was not much the organisers could do about that.
Had a great time. Chan was our waiter most of the time and had a lot of funny jokes and great service. Even played pool with us. Kevin was also great and told lots of jokes and made sure everyone was having a great time. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy beautiful scenery and relaxing with great food and people.
