Deze excursie is speciaal ontworpen voor reizigers die La Gomera op een authentiekere, comfortabelere en persoonlijkere manier willen ontdekken, weg van de drukke routes van de grote bussen. Het bezoek vindt plaats in een kleine groep van maximaal 18 personen en wordt doorgaans begeleid door een officiële gids die is geaccrediteerd door de regering van de Canarische Eilanden en die ruime ervaring en diepgaande kennis van de eilanden heeft. De route is niet beperkt tot de gebruikelijke commerciële haltes. Tijdens de tour bezoekt u uitzichtpunten, het Nationaal Park Garajonay, landelijke gebieden, traditionele dorpen zoals El Cercado of Chipude, en plaatsen waar u de cultuur van La Gomera, het landschap, de oude ambachten en tradities zoals het Silbo Gomero (de Gomera-fluittaal) beter kunt leren kennen. Het doel is dat de reiziger La Gomera niet alleen "ziet", maar het eiland ook echt begrijpt en beleeft.

Vertrek vanuit de haven van San Sebastián de La Gomera richting Roque de Agando.
We zullen het gebied van het monument van de rotsen bewonderen, waar de meest karakteristieke de Roque de Agando is. Een fonolitische python van 1250 meter hoog die opvalt door zijn grootte en vorm.
een stop op het centrale plein om de kerk van La Candelaria te bezoeken en een pauze te nemen om een typisch product van La Gomera te proberen. Daarna zullen we het fort bewonderen, tegenwoordig een natuurmonument.
We bezoeken het museum van de Loceras, een groep vrouwen die de traditie van het aardewerk levend houden
Vanuit dit gezichtspunt kun je El Palmarejo bewonderen, het werk van de beroemde Majorero-kunstenaar César Manrique. Van daaruit zullen we het diepste ravijn van La Gomera aanschouwen, met zijn verschillende lavalagen die de geschiedenis van de aarde vertellen. In deze spectaculaire hoek begon de verovering van het eiland, wat het begin markeerde van een tijdperk vol avonturen en uitdagingen. Een voorbeeld van hoe de Gomeros in het verleden elke centimeter van de grond benutten voor de productie van suikerriet. Zonder twijfel één van de mooiste uitzichtpunten van het eiland.
In deze charmante hoek van het Garajonay National Park wandelen we langs een pad waarmee we kunnen genieten van het fascinerende ecosysteem van het laurierbos. Bij aankomst in het restaurant heeft u tijd om de typische gerechten van het eiland te proeven en te luisteren naar het Gomero-fluit, de lokale taal die tot Werelderfgoed is verklaard.
In het nieuwe bezoekerscentrum, dat eind augustus 2024 opengaat, krijgen ze de kans om zich onder te dompelen in de rijke geschiedenis en natuur van het eiland. Je kunt het geologische tijdperk van La Gomera verkennen, naast het kopen en proeven van de beroemde Gomera-koekjes. Als u de benen een beetje wilt strekken, vindt u boven het centrum een uitkijkpunt vanwaar u het indrukwekkende groen van het Nationaal Park kunt bewonderen.

De dag voor de excursie nemen we telefonisch contact met u op om de ontmoetingsplaats en -tijd voor de ophaalservice af te stemmen. Als we geen reactie ontvangen, zullen we de ophaalservice niet verzorgen. Op de dag van de excursie dient u om 9.00 uur aanwezig te zijn op het kantoor van Fred Olsen in de haven van Los Cristianos om de gids te ontmoeten. Als de boeking binnen 24 uur voor de excursie wordt gemaakt, is er geen ophaalservice. U dient daarom op de dag van de excursie om 9.00 uur aanwezig te zijn bij het Fred Olsen-kantoor in de haven van Los Cristianos om de gids te ontmoeten. Als u uw identiteitsbewijs niet kunt tonen bij het instappen, wordt er geen geld terugbetaald. Ophalen is alleen mogelijk in Zuid-Tenerife (van La Caleta tot Las Americas). Indien u uw bestelling buiten dit gebied wilt laten ophalen, worden er extra kosten in rekening gebracht.

Very nice day trip with the certified guide Basso Lanzone. Unique VIP transport and very much learned about the island by the guide both about its history, geography, nature and culture. Meetings with the locals, the craft and tasting of traditional dishes in Laguna Grande completed the introduction to La Gomera. Basso knows the roads and people very well and gave us a safe feeling from the pick up in Tenerife. La Gomera surprises you after every turn. Basso knows the Canary Islands and the excursions like no other. Thanks for the valuable information and the nice time! One day we'll come back to see the starry sky.

Very beautiful experience. We received a lot of information and interesting facts. Basso is super prepared: history, geography, botany... He knew how to make the visit interesting even for my 15 and 17-year-old children. He speaks Italian, Spanish, and English perfectly. Always available to give explanations. Compliments!!!!

It was a beautiful day trip by ferry from Los Cristianos to La Gomera. This island is so surprising with diverse vegetation and ecosystems depending on the altitude. The driver and guide were very competent. We got a nice picture of the origin of the island and the daily life here.

This was a wonderful way to see La Gomera. The group today was only small (4 of us + guide), the transport was very comfortable & our guide Basso was excellent. Basso was very knowledgeable as to how the island & its stunning scenery were formed. The different levels of ecological environments were well explained & how the people of La Gomera are endeavouring to maintain it. Lunch wasn’t provided but a stop at a small restaurant in the National Park was on the itinerary. Prices were not expensive & the food was good. You could try some local dishes if you were adventurous. The itinerary was varied & comfort stops had been planned in. The weather was fantastic - clear blue skies so you could see El Hierro, La Palma & Teide on Tenerife clearly. Basso was a little disappointed with it as with it being so good as we couldn’t really see why the environments had developed as they have. We thoroughly enjoyed our snapshot of La Gomera.

A more private trip away from tourist traps and crowds. A relaxed way to see the life of the villages in La Gomera. Basso was a great guide, explaining everything at a gentle pace.

The tour itself was very good. The tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful. The flora, fauna and general scenery were amazing. Our only complaint was with getting to the start of the tour. We were not on the hotel pick-up list and the directions link to the office were we were to meet the group took us to an empty lot several kilometers away from the actual ferry. While we left ourselves plenty of time to get there, by the time we could contact the tour operator and get proper directions we almost missed the ferry - literally 2 minutes to spare.

The tour is a good way to see La Gomera in a day and the guide was knowledgeable. We thought the description of the tour being a "VIP" tour was a bit misleading and the maximum number of passengers was exceeded (there were 25 people on our tour). Given the amount of people the tour was slow and because we were the last table to be served at the restaurant we missed out on getting to do one of the walks. Would have been a good tour with less people.

Really loved this tour! La Gomera is a such a beautiful island with rich traditions and history. The scenery and views are just breathtaking! Our tour guide Basso made our trip not only fun but also very educational. Our small group of 6 spoke 3 different languages and he still managed to take time and engage every single one of us throughout the day. I especially enjoyed the demonstration of the local “whistle language’ (Silbo Gomero) - by Oscar and Basso - on our lunch stop at a restaurant in the national park! That was super fun! Loved this trip! We were picked up from our hotel and taken to Los Christianos to catch the Fred Olson over to La Gomera - a fab trip around the island expertly narrated by Bassos. We had a fab fab day! Stunning views of Teide! Definitely worth taking layers of clothing because it gets colder as you get higher up the island! Breathtaking scenery :)
