Wij zijn het enige bedrijf dat een authentieke nachtwandeling aanbiedt in het tropische regenwoud, aan de voet van de majestueuze Arenal-vulkaan. Bovendien zijn wij het enige lokale bedrijf met een certificaat 'Familie- en kindvriendelijk', ideaal voor een gezinsuitje en geschikt voor alle leeftijden. Deze ervaring vindt plaats in een volledig natuurlijke omgeving; het is geen gecontroleerde omgeving. De dieren leven in volledige vrijheid, dus elke wandeling is anders en de waarnemingen kunnen per avond verschillen. Onder begeleiding van een deskundige natuurgids verkennen we de paden van Mirador El Silencio. Tijdens de tour gaan we op zoek naar kikkers zoals de zandloperkikker, de spijkerbroekkikker en de iconische roodogige boomkikker. Het is er ook mogelijk om exotische insecten, reptielen en slangen te observeren. Met een beetje geluk vinden we misschien zoogdieren zoals luiaards, opossums of miereneters. Om veilig van deze ervaring te kunnen genieten, is het essentieel om gesloten schoenen te dragen.

Dompel uzelf onder in een van de meest iconische bossen van Costa Rica met onze nachttour in La Fortuna. Deze ervaring begint stipt om 17:30 uur en nodigt u uit om de magie van het tropische regenwoud aan de voet van de imposante Arenal-vulkaan te ontdekken. Tijdens deze begeleide wandeling leert u over de geologische geschiedenis die ons land heeft gevormd, de invloed van vulkanen op het lokale ecosysteem en de bijzonderheden van het klimaat van het gebied. Als de nacht valt, ontwaakt de jungle en kunt u de ongelooflijke nachtelijke flora en fauna van La Fortuna bewonderen. Onder de dieren die we doorgaans aantreffen, bevinden zich fascinerende amfibieën en reptielen, zoals de glaskikker, de boomkikker, de regenkikker, de vochtige bospad en de grote reuzenpad. Ook slangen komen aan bod, zoals de koraalslang, de bocaracá, de steenhand en de bekende terciopelo. Ook zoogdieren als neusberen, gordeldieren, buidelratten, brulapen, witgezichtsmeervallen en doodshoofdaapjes zijn hier te zien.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Het inbegrepen vervoer geldt alleen voor hotels in het centrum van Fortuna en hotels op de route naar Mirador El Silencio. Het ophaalmoment kan variëren tussen 30 en 40 minuten vóór aanvang van de activiteit.

Neifram was an amazing guide! He provided so much information that was interesting and you can tell he is very passionate about what he does. He also took some pics with a special lens so we could see the creatures from a very up-close perspective. I would say this was my favorite experience in Costa Rica so far. This night walk through the rainforest at the foothills of Arenal Volcano was exactly what I was looking for in La Fortuna. It offered a truly unique experience and a genuine connection with nature that exceeded all my expectations. Even though it rained during the tour, we still saw an incredible amount of wildlife. The guide was outstanding—extremely knowledgeable, patient, and attentive throughout the entire experience. What impressed me the most was the exceptional level of care and attention. He took the time to help everyone get amazing wildlife photos, never rushed us, and made sure everyone had the opportunity to fully enjoy every sighting. The small group size made a huge difference. It created a more personal, relaxed atmosphere and allowed us to appreciate the rainforest without feeling crowded. Without a doubt, this was the best immersive nature experience I had in Costa Rica. If you're looking for an authentic rainforest adventure with exceptional service and attention to detail, this is the tour to book.

The night walk was fun experience to see reptiles and birds you usually would not see in the day. It was a great learning experience. We saw frogs, spiders, scorpions and one venomous snake. Guides were friendly and informative. Bug repellent highly recommended.
Our kids love this night tour, you will never got the same experience outside of Costa Rica.

It was honestly one the best experiences we had in Costa Rica! There were two guides and the group was divided in two, so only my friend and I went with the guide which made it possible to see so many things and ask so mny questions. Our guide Eric was truly knowledgable and we learned so much! We were able to see many frog and toad species, stick bugs, leaf bugs, many lizards and snakes, and even a wolly possum which was so adorable. Truly amazing totally recomend!

Overall a really great tour! However if you are not in the front you can miss a few things. Still had a super great time and saw lots of animals.
