Klaar om enkele van Georgia's coolste plekken te bekijken? Ga mee op avontuur door Imereti en Samegrelo met Kutaisi, Martvili Canyon en Prometheus Caves! We nemen je mee naar een prachtig uitzicht, proeven geweldig lokaal eten en verkennen prachtige canyons. We beginnen vroeg om 6.45 uur en halen je op van Rose Revolution Square. Zoek ons maar op in rode sjaals bij het Giant Bicycle Monument. Je krijgt alle topbezienswaardigheden in het westen van Georgië te zien, en wanneer de tour eindigt, kun je ervoor kiezen om te eindigen bij Kutaisi, Kutaisi Airport of terug in Tbilisi op het Rose Revolution Square. Deze prachtige plek is gelegen in de regio Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Georgië. De kleine stad Martvili ligt op slechts een half uur rijden van Kutaisi. Het Martvili-district is echt een van de prachtige plekken in Georgië en combineert een unieke natuurlijke omgeving. Je zult geschokt zijn door schitterende landschappen, sensationele watervallen en een boottocht in de rivier met diepgroene kleur. U kunt met een bootsman mee op een boot en hij neemt u mee op een onvergetelijke tocht door de canyon. De wanden van de canyons zijn bedekt met mos. Martvili Canyon is een fantastische plek om op avontuur te gaan met familie, vrienden en collega's.
Kumistavi dankt een beroemde legende over Amirani vanwege de sonore naamgeving van de 'Grot van Prometheus'. De legende zegt dat Amirani, net als Prometheus, de goden boos maakte en wreed werd gestraft. De adelaar kwelde hem door zijn lever op te eten; in tegenstelling tot de Griekse reus waren wrede goden echter geketend. Amirani, niet naar de rots, maar in een enorme grot. De Khvamli-berg is zichtbaar vanaf de Prometheus-grot, waar de legende zegt dat Prometheus was vastgeketend. Spectaculair uitzicht op stalactieten, stalagmieten, versteende watervallen, ondergrondse rivieren en grotmeren. De grot heeft kleurrijke lichten, variërend van oranjerood tot roze en blauw.

Excellent! Thank you George for the wonderful trip. Yes, the travel is long and if you can stay in Kutaisi for a day, may be consider the same. However, despite the early start at 7am and late end at 11pm - the trip is truly amazing and a complete money’s worth. My parents and I enjoyed the caves and the canyon despite it tiring us totally and the waterfall was just the icing on the cake. Our guide George was very helpful right from the start, shared the history of Georgia with us, accompanied us at all the sites and ensured that we made the most of the long day.
It’s a long drive, but definitely worth it! Prometheus Cave is spectacular and absolutely worth visiting. A big thanks to Mariam for the great coordination and for making the whole experience so much fun!

The tour was very good, although the weather did not cooperate. Plenty of stops for a coffee or bathroom break. The guide, Nicolás, was a sweetheart, super attentive to everything, and he entertained us with the history of Georgia, legends of the caves, and accompanied us throughout the entire tour of the Canyon and the Caves. We will repeat, and I hope the weather lets us take the boat ride (caves and canyon)!!

Thanks to Nicholas for a great tour and Merab for his safe driving! Both the cave and the canyon were beautiful, and great food at the restaurant we stopped at. Do be aware that the boat tour may be canceled because of rain, so keep an eye on the weather. The zipline is fairly pricey (₾60 atop entrance fee), so keep that in mind as well.
