Geniet tijdens deze ochtendtour van de schoonheid van Hobart vanaf de top van Mount Wellington. Geniet van een panoramisch uitzicht richting Hobart en de rivier de Derwent. Onze speciaal ontworpen kunanyi/Mt Wellington Ultimate Experience biedt u de best mogelijke ervaring op de berg. Op een heldere dag zijn de uitzichten adembenemend. In de winter speel je misschien wel in de sneeuw. Tijdens deze volledig begeleide tour passeren we verschillende ecosystemen en ervaren we een alpine omgeving. Sluit je aan bij onze exclusieve begeleide rondleiding door het Observatorium, de tentoonstellingstuinen en geniet van de mogelijkheid om te genieten van het uitzicht vanaf het uitkijkplatform van de Western Wilderness om een van de laatste echte wildernisgebieden ter wereld te zien. Tijdens de afdaling van de berg hebben we een korte stop buiten de Cascade Gardens en bekijken we de overblijfselen van de Female Convict-gevangenis - The Female Factory.

Wees getuige van een fantastisch uitzicht op Hobart en omgeving vanaf de top. Geniet tijdens onze afdaling van de berg van een korte gemakkelijke wandeling rond de verbazingwekkende Exhibition Gardens halverwege "The Springs". Er is ook tijd om een warm drankje te kopen.
Bekijk de buitenkant van de belangrijkste historische locaties voor vrouwen in Australië. De Female Factory was het vrouwelijke equivalent van Port Arthur en werd gedurende de jaren 1820 gebruikt om zowel vrouwen als kinderen vast te houden. Het was een vreselijke plek met alleen de meest elementaire voorzieningen. Er bestaan nog enkele ruïnes van het oorspronkelijke gebouw en de muren. Uw chauffeursgids geeft een korte geschiedenis van deze fascinerende plek.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Het ophalen van het hotel begint ongeveer 40 minuten vóór de vermelde starttijd/vertrektijd van de tour. Als u een ophaalservice bij uw hotel heeft geselecteerd, ontvangt u een aparte e-mail van de touroperator. Controleer uw e-mails voor de bevestigde ophaaltijd van het hotel. U ontvangt de e-mail binnen 24 uur na boeking. Voor boekingen die na sluitingstijd voor de volgende dag zijn gemaakt, ontvangt u de volgende ochtend, minimaal 2 uur voor vertrek, een e-mail met de ophaalgegevens. Wacht 5 minuten vóór uw bevestigde ophaaltijd op de ophaallocatie van uw hotel. Niet alle ophaallocaties bevinden zich direct bij het hotel. De exacte ophaallocatie wordt vermeld in de e-mail die door de touroperator wordt verzonden. Als er geen hotel is geselecteerd, wordt uw ophaalservice om 9.00 uur bevestigd op Brooke St Pier, 12 Franklin Wharf, Hobart (centraal vertrekpunt).

Was cloudy but we were up above it - like being on a plane. Some decent views from below the cloud. Was a bit confused as we thought that the tour included the female factory but entry was not included. So we paid to go in - that was worthwhile too.

We do offer a combined Mount Wellington and Cascade Female Factory tour, but it has to be selected at the time of booking. Unfortunately it was quite foggy the morning we booked but it was still really neat. Quite cold up on top so dress warmly. I would still go despite the weather.

The bus driver - Evan - was very attentive & informative. He was very conscientious to ensure all passengers were on the bus before we left Mt Wellingron as the weather had turned nasty, to the extent he got off the bus & got soaked looking for the last passenger to discover he was on the bus all the time, but did not respond when his name was called out.....

No matter what the ticket says they do not pick you up at the hotel. The tour operator does not use WhatsApp to communicate. You must have access to ypur email to get updates. Communication is very limited with this tour operator, not what im used from a viator operator.

We do offer hotel pickups, either directly outside the hotel or within a short walking distance. Some hotels unfortunately aren’t accessible for tour vehicles, which is why a brief walk may be required. We always aim to make this as convenient as possible. Regarding communication, we outline the process in the initial booking confirmation, which notes that we will contact you within 24 hours to confirm your exact pickup time and location. After that, we send a detailed email with the confirmed pickup information. The night before the tour, we send the same details again via email, along with an SMS to the contact number provided. At this stage we don’t use WhatsApp, so email and SMS are our primary communication channels. We understand how important clear communication is, and your comments help us continue improving.
