Volg een groepsreis en ontdek de speciale religieuze betekenis en de natuurlijke schoonheid van de Phnom Kulen-berg, de meest heilige berg van Cambodja, 50 km ten noorden van de stad Siem Reap. De tour vertrekt om 8.30 uur en de gids haalt je op van 07.30 uur tot 8.30 uur vanuit de lobby van je hotel en gaat vervolgens noordwaarts richting Kulen Mountain via een rit van ongeveer 2 uur in een voertuig met airconditioning. Geniet onderweg van de schilderachtige rit terwijl je door lokale dorpen en groene tropische bossen loopt. Je bezoekt de grootste liggende Boeddha van Cambodja, uitgehouwen in zandsteen. De tempel ligt op de top van de heuvel en is te bereiken via een trap. Vervolgens ga je op weg naar de heilige rivier van 1000 Lingas. De rivierbedding is interessant uitgehouwen met tal van Lingas, een fallisch symbool van de hindoegod Shiva. Je zult ook enkele rotstekeningen langs de rivier zien met hindoegoden. Je gaat verder door een andere heilige plaats, de Phnom Kulen-watervallen. Breng je zintuigen tot rust door te kijken naar de waterval die over de rotsen naar beneden tuimelt. Je hebt tijd om in het bassin te waden en ervoor te kiezen om af te koelen van de middagzon door in het zwembad te zwemmen.

This tour was simply fenomenal. We booked it online before coming out and I knew it would be good, but I had no idea that it would be this fabulous. Our guide Nak pick up and drop off were flawless and in a very comfortable van. Our guide, Nak was very knowledgeable, engaging, considerate and kind. This was a half-day trek that included seven family members, and we were all very happy with the entire process. We recommend this and this guide very highly.
This was such an amazing experience, our guide Nak as well as our driver were incredibly kind and informative and made this tour wonderful! We learned so much, pickup and dropoff was smooth and easy, and Nak taught us so much about the history and culture. The waterfall was absolutely beautiful! This was definitely a highlight of our trip.
We had an amazing trip to Kulen Mountain and Waterfall with Chenda and Lis. Chenda is a master of his domain when it coes to Khmer history. He was always ready with answers to our curiosity. When we reached the 1000 lingas Chenda drew a map in the dirt showing how the river how it flows into Siem Reap and its temples, along with the time periods of the temples. That presentation in the dirt was a master class it was like a powerpoint presentation with just dirt and sticks and impeccable details all drawn under a shaded tree. Lis was courteous and helpful during the trip together they made a memorable memory for us
We enjoyed seeing the Buddha, but the waterfalls was a lot of extra walking in high heat and that was not clear on the activity details.

Pickup on time. Very nice van for our group. Driver provided cold scented towels and icy cold water to keep us comfortable. Vireak is an excellent communicator in English and very knowledgeable about a wide range of Cambodian history and current affairs. He was also very solicitous of the safety and comfort of our group. It was a wonderful experience watching the cascading water. The final aspect of the cascading fall has to be approached climbing about 150 odd steps-wooden after some amount of walking. However, the effort fully justifies the scenery. Nearer to the vehicle parking area is the 1000 Shiva lingas embedded in the Kabal Spean river bed. The lingas were installed in the river bed to sanctify the water.
