Om te beginnen steek je de Moli'i-visvijver over, een 800 jaar oud voorbeeld van oude Hawaiiaanse aquacultuur, waar je meer te weten komt over duurzame visserijpraktijken, onze oesterkwekerij en de huidige beheerpraktijken. Kort daarna kom je aan op "Secret Island", waar je aan boord gaat van onze catamaran voor een oceaantour door Kaneohe Bay. Deze tour biedt een spectaculair uitzicht op het eiland Mokoli'i, de valleien van Hakipu'u en Kualoa en het Ko'olau-gebergte. Als je geluk hebt, zie je misschien ook schildpadden of andere dieren in het wild. BELANGRIJK OM OP TE MERKEN: Voor deze tour moeten gasten trappen kunnen beklimmen om aan boord van onze catamaran te gaan. We raden aan om geschikte kleding en bescherming tegen de zon te dragen.

Ga op eigen gelegenheid naar de schilderachtige noordkust van Oahu om aan te komen bij Kualoa Ranch. Je tour begint met een korte rit over Moli'i Fishpond, een oude Hawaiiaanse vijver die meer dan 800 jaar geleden in gebruik was om lokale dorpen van vis te voorzien. Terwijl je over de 50 hectare grote visvijver glijdt, leer je over traditionele aquacultuurpraktijken in Hawaï.
Aan de andere kant van de visvijver arriveert u op Secret Island, waar uw ruime catamaran wacht om u mee te nemen op uw 30-45 minuten durende oceaancruise. De overblijfselen van de prehistorische Ko'olau-vulkaan vormden Kaneohe Bay, de Ko'olau-bergen en het eiland Mokoli'i. Het in het oog springende landschap heeft gediend als decor voor Hollywood-films, waaronder Pirates of the Caribbean 4, Pearl Harbor en 50 First Dates.
Vertrek op de turquoise wateren van Kaneohe Bay en geniet van het ongelooflijke uitzicht op het eiland Mokoli'i terwijl je vaart. Passeer Hokule'a Beach, een prachtig witzandparadijs dat ook de thuisbasis is van de eerste moderne replica van een oude Hawaiiaanse zeilboot. Bewonder de opvallende aanblik van het Ko'olau-gebergte dat oprijst in grillige groene toppen achter de glinsterende baai.
Terwijl de frisse zeebries je koel houdt, hoor je levendige historische verhalen en maak je geweldige foto's tijdens je schilderachtige cruise. U kunt genieten van een fantastisch uitzicht op de kustlijn van Noord-Oahu vanaf het grote uitkijkplatform van uw catamaran. Na de oceaancruise keert u terug naar uw startpunt om uw tour af te sluiten.

Amazing experience! Really enjoyed learning about the pond. SUPER enjoyed the catamaran ride around the stunning bay! Loved the view of chinaman’s hat and turtle reef. We were sooo lucky to see a huge pod of dolphin - the guides said they had never seen that before! We saw 2 sting rays and 5-6 turtles! Captain Antonio was so fun and funny. Captain Mike helped point out so many animals!
I had such an amazing experience. I did the half day tour with the Ocean Voyage and the Movie Sites Tour. I didn't have a chance to do the others cause I was only in Hawaii for a, short time.... But am definitely coming back to do the others. I absolutely LOVED it! It wad literally my first time in Hawaii and my first time experiencing it... Highly recomend it!
This gave us a chance to see the mountains from the coast on the boat. Amazing view of the Majestic Mountains. Captain was very informative explaining what was filmed there. Told us plenty about the geography of the area.
Fun only because it rained. Expected more. Kids only liked it cause it rained and the waves were adrenaline pumping
Kualoa Ranch is breathtaking, but this tour isn't it. I usually don't write reviews but I'm really surprised there are so many great reviews for this tour. I booked the Ocean Voyage March 2026 for our family and no one really enjoyed it from kids to adults. Our guide had very low energy and was very quiet. I kept waiting for something exciting to happen or to hear interesting info but that never happened. First you ride on a trolley over to the beach area to get on a small boat. Our guide shared some general information on that boat ride over to the island but was very flat and we could barely hear him. Then you walk through the island and once you get on the bigger catamaran, there is no narration. Just safety info about waves. The boat just goes out to a buoy and turns around. Although the scenery was pretty, I feel like any of the other land tours would have been 100% better.

This excursion was just right for our fun filled day. Not too long and our guide Billy was super friendly and knowledgeable.
So much fun and the views were amazing. Kiki was a fantastic guide, very informative , and even had to give our tour extra info as traffic made the trip to the boat longer than usual. Enjoyed this boat ride!
I actually have no words. This made my little boys year! Jurassic Park, amazing scenery great hosts. Would recommend to anyone!
Brittany was our tour guide. She did a great job pointing out locations where movies were filmed. She was very nice and even had us laughing - we enjoyed this tour and the boat ride out on the ocean. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to go out on the ocean and get some amazing pictures from a different angle.
The price and experience were solid. However, the ticket entry process was a bit off-putting. I was solo, and the person collecting everyone seemed a bit overbearing, which was understandable given his job to ensure everyone was accounted for and on the bus. It was the first time I felt a pang of loneliness on this beautiful solo journey of a lifetime I've taken here in Hawaii. It was when the person checking everyone off his list simply said, “Oh, you’re alone.” Yes, I am, and it’s my 40th. This comment slightly soured the experience right off the bat. I was further surprised being the only one "alone" that at no point was I offered a hand in trying to get a picture of myself and the breathtaking views. On the bright side, the woman who provided historical information was engaging and funny. Her stories and sense of humor were great, and I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the fish pools.
