We were picked up from our accommodation at half past five in the morning and came back about 4:30 p.m. If you're looking for an informative and authentic tour, then you definitely need to do it with Willie. We have done safaris before, but this tour was by far the best. He told us so many interesting things and and gave us a fascinating insight. He was extremely eager to show us the Big 5 and finally made it. But not only that, away from the Big 5, he gave us a lot of information about flora and fauna. He showed us an incredible view over Kruger Park at the end. It was an all-round perfect and very fun day in Kruger National Park.
If you are seeking an authentic, educational, and unforgettable game drive experience, look no further than Willie. He doesn't just show you wild Africa; he helps you understand it. Not only did Willie manage to show us the "Big 5", he was also extremely knowledgeable when it came to fauna as well as the different bird species and their habits. This was truly one of the best game drives of my life.
Seasoned safari goers so didn’t want to chase the crowd and 4x4’s in Kruger. Asked our guide Willie to steer away from the madding crowd. He did it perfectly. Extremely well read and knowledgable giving fascinating insights to all manner of animals and birds. His reading on experiences in anatomy and anthrozoology was a delight. Didn’t agree with all of it but a day full of insights, learning, surprises and food for thought! Most importantly, he met and exceeded the brief we gave him, handsomely!
I didn't go to my tour because the tour operator didn't pick up my calls I need my refund it's a scam don't book with them
Never got picked up, my calls would either go unanswered or to voicemail, never been called by the tour operators!!! My day SPOILT!! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I even wonder if this is a genuine site! I want my money back 😭
Terrible! When my friend and I booked and paid we thought they’d be in contact with us to organise a pick up location and time. Only for us to be phoning them non-stop. Once we got through they told us that they were not operating due to covid-19, they would only start operating from the 1st of October. So my question is why didn’t the tour company block out the dates they knew they wouldn’t be operating? Instead of having us book and pay? When we asked the owner of the tour company how to get a refund he simply shrugged us off and said that tripadvisor would refund the money, which wasn’t true, because Tripadvisor needs to contact the host for a refund and up until now they cannot get a hold of the host tour company. A complete display of unprofessionalism. I would not recommend these guys at all! Terrible experience!
This turned out to be a waste of time. They picked us up at 10.30 and then we waited for 2 hours at the park gate for the drivers to sort out what they were doing. Then we set on the drive through the park and there wasn't anything special to what the guide was providing. I guess I was expecting him to get us to places where we wouldn't think of going ourselves or wouldn't get to without a 4x4. Well, the roads there are good enough for you to move around with any car (outside of a Ferrari, perhaps) and the driver didn't seem to have any "secret sauce". Yes, we saw elephants, giraffes and buffaloes, but there are plenty of those and hard to miss. No rhinos or cats or crocs - after 4+ hours of driving. And then there was the driver himself. First, he was doing a poor job of avoiding the worst washboard spots on dirt roads and the vehicle was vibrating like hell. Second, he gave us a very annoying lecture about keeping quiet in the vehicle because we were supposedly scaring off the animals. Well, my 7 and 9 y.o. kids were excited to see stuff and wanted to share their excitement with us and ask questions. They weren't screaming or anything, just talking. If the rumbling of the truck doesn't scare the animals, some people chatter shouldn't matter. My bottom line is that we would have a much better time driving ourselves in our Corolla - our own schedule, stop where we want to and not stop where we dont, air conditioned, and talk among ourselves all we want. There are good maps of the park and GPS, you dont need the guide... Oh, and they also ran my card twice when paying the entrance fee to the park...
It was an awesome experience and the guide was very warm and friendly. She was very knowledgeable about the animals and also taught us some amazing stuff. 😁😊👌🏾
We had originally booked a half day safari but there was some complications with their half day vehicle so we were upgraded to a full day safari at no additional cost. Our guide was amazing! She was very in tune with her surroundings and spotted even the tiniest of animals we had no clue were even there. We saw 4/5 of the big 5 and she searched everywhere for the lions to make it 5 for 5. She had plenty of knowledge and shared great stories with us.
It was a nice trip ddnt trust the whole way of booking this way but it was a total success and me and my wife enjoyed it.
