Kos Ultimate Escape : Bergen, uitzicht & lunch

Guide was excellent. However the day trip overall was not worth the price. Not enough time at stopping places, it’s not really a full day trip either as once left much break is finished it’s a straight journey back to base with no additional sites. The lunch included in the price was very poor quality also

Before leaving my bad review I would like to say the only good thing about this hotel is Kevin from the animation team as he was so funny and gave us memories that we will always remember. The security man is a horrible bully, swearing and as a young girl I felt very intimidated and found his attitude unacceptable and totally innapropriate - this was towards me and his own colleagues! There has been a sickness bug going around the hotel & the lack of care from the receptionists is absolutely disgusting. I have spent my time on holiday in the room all day due to throwing up and having a fever and they expect me to sit out in the sun all day waiting to get picked up on our last day from the hotel when I should be in bed resting which I am forbidden to do unless I pay 45€. I explained I shouldn’t have to pay this money as many people in this hotel has been sick too (which they are aware of) so it must be down to some sort of hygiene issue and the only way I get to stay in the room is if I poo in a cup!! Do not stay here unless you want to eat gross food and be ill!

Good- The views, Historical sites, lunch stop fabulous Not so good- Tour guide could have been more informative including more stops for photos etc

None this was not a 4x4 experience the transport was a tui 8 seater mini bus total misrepresentation in the description totally overpriced

We booked this daytrip fairly last-minute while already in Kos, wanting to see a bit more of the island and it definitely did not disappoint. Our driver (whose name I sadly don't remember but he is Kos native and lives one village over from Kos town), picked us up in a Land Rover promptly and was lovely, funny and personable the entire day. He was also an extremely competent driver. The itinerary differed slightly from the description on Tripadvisor but that was not necessarily a bad thing! We first went for a drive up into the mountains with stunning views of the island and the sea. Then stopped in Zia for coffee/ice cream and a wander. After that to the ghost village, which was a really fascinating visit. Then to the Knights of St John castle/fortress near the airport. The day ended at Dolphin Bay for lunch and a swim. The food was great and the sea was so blue. Stunning views from their terrace. All in all, a really great experience my partner and I would highly recommend!

An excellent trip with a good amount of stops and photo points. Lunch was delicious at Dolphin Bay, my only criticism was that there was time to swim in the beautiful bay but we weren’t aware so hadn’t brought swimwear/towels with us, so for anyone taking this trip, take the opportunity it’s a bed spot. Driver was really lovely and friendly, happy to take photos and pointed things out as we went along sharing his local knowledge. Would definitely recommend this trip.

Firstly the driver/tour guide was excellent plenty of knowledge of the area and very engaging. The transport was clean and comfortable and one felt safe also. The off road part of the trip was cool. I felt the number of stops on the trip where quite small and apart from the lunch break, the time spent on stops where very short. Time taken for lunch break was two hours (opportunity to swim also) which was. in my opinion too long and instead more time could have been given to additional stops to Other parts of the island, Lunch itself was of a very poor quality - a portion of lukewarm Moussaka with no salad or indeed desert given or offered. A drink was available though. After lunch break we headed straight back to the pick up point without further stops and the tour finished there at just past 3 o clock. Overall I felt this tour offered fairly poor value for the actual cost.

The driver/guide was great and full of information plus the off road part of the tour was good and very different.. The transport provided was clean comfortable and safe. However, the number of actual stops where few and then apart for lunch quite short. The lunch provided with the trip was also very poor, I had a lukewarm Moussaka with no salad or desert given or offered. I felt the 2 hour stop for lunch during which one could swim also if one liked was too long and perhaps we could have had a visit to other site or sites after lunch instead of going straight back to the pick up point, this was at 3 in the afternoon. Overall because of these reasons Iwas disappointed with the tour and I felt that the trip possibly offers poor value for money.
