Kookles op het platteland van Tropea

I signed my husband & myself up for this “class” & had a great time with a fun group of people. After a brief history of the family farm, we “harvested” items for dinner, then made 2 different pastas which were prepared by Chef Alberto & staff. We dined al fresc with Enzo, enjoyed amazing food &wine. Highly recommend!

This was definitely one of the most memorable events of our stay in Tropea. Enzo, our guide, provided an evening of farm to table dining led by Alberto, the head chef at Hibiscus Restaurant. We literally picked our ingredients from the organic garden which Alberto has worked in since he was 6 years old and collected the eggs from the coop! The salad was freshly picked, and the pasta we were taught to make was delicious. I highly recommend this tour and an additional dinner reservation at Hibiscus.

A very fun evening in a beautiful agroturismo, with a stunning view. Enzo is funny and kind and even went around in a van collecting everyone so they wouldnt have to drive. I am gluten free and they went out of their way to accommodate me. The food was great. Definitely join this experience if it sounds like fun to you.

Beautiful evening and setting. Location is in close proximity to Tropea. The garden presentation was very interesting, and discussion points on organic gardening, how the garden is changing with climate... Making pasta was a lot of fun, and eating it was delicious. This will definitely improve our kitchen game. Met some nice couples from many places in the small group as well. Only suggestion is that it be a little shorter, or start earlier, we ended up eating and getting back quite late. Despite this one small thing, I highly recommend this class.

A really lovely evening! We were picked up from the hotel and then met our fellow cooks for the evening on-site. But before cooking, Alberto led us around the farm and, together with Enzo, told us interesting things about almost every plant and fruit. Then it was time to harvest and finally to prepare dinner. The international group was a great fit and it was very entertaining! Enzo and Alberto really catered to us, and we felt very comfortable.

One of the best experiences I've had in Tropea! We cooked 2 beautiful pastas with some very lovely other guests. All food was local and absolutely delicious. Totally recommend!!!

A lovely experience with an even better host, we visited the farm picked the ingredients, drank wine and cooked along with the chef even making some friends along the way. Made me want to try all the other experiences Enzo at visit Mediterraneo has to offer. 10/10 don’t miss it.

Can definitely be recommended. So nice, exciting and educational. We were 6 on the team. Beautiful evening with 4 other beautiful women from each of our countries - but we laughed and laughed a lot. Great food and wine.

An incredible farm-to-table experience with Enzo and Chef Alberto. We were welcomed into Alberto’s family home and farm, a beautiful setting. Alberto shared the history of the farm and explained how his family cultivates the land. We picked fresh ingredients and learned how to make two types of pasta from scratch, all while enjoying the company of a wonderful small group of people from around the world. Enzo was able to share all his knowledge about Tropea and the region of Calabria. A truly memorable experience filled with amazing food, great stories, and genuine warmth. Thank you, Enzo and Alberto, for sharing your home, culture, and passion with us .I look forward to the next one when I’m visiting Tropea again.This is a must do experience.
