We had such a great experience! It was fun, engaging, and we learned so much along the way. Chef Christian made it even better—he was incredibly knowledgeable and so fun to be around. He created a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere while still teaching us a ton. We also really appreciated how accommodating and knowledgeable he was about gluten-free needs, which made the experience even more comfortable and inclusive for us. Highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something unique and memorable! I
My 7 year old daughter and I took Christian’s class and we had the best time. I think it goes without saying, but it’s already an amazing experience to be able to cook in Rome as someone who cannot safely have gluten! Christian shared so many helpful tricks and made sure that everyone was confident during all parts of the class, including my daughter. Her face lit up when she nailed a pasta roll and Christian yelled “BRAVA!” The pasta class is 100% gluten and wheat free for anyone who has an additional wheat allergy. The pizza is made with wheat starch (or was at the time that I took the class). So if you’re wheat free, just know which class to book! Christian made us feel at home and like family! The next time we are in Rome we’d love to do another glass! If you’re on the fence about booking, do it! It’s an amazing experience!
This gluten-free cooking class was an amazing experience for our whole family, and Chef Christian was the best! I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking for a gluten-free cooking class, because you will come away with new skills and new recipes. Definitely come hungry, as you will be making and eating a mountain of delicious food! My 13-year-old daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease about a year and a half ago, and one thing she has been missing was taking any cooking classes. I am so happy we got to take this one on our trip to Italy, because it's one of the best cooking classes I've ever taken (and I've done lots). Chef Christian gives lots of practical advice, and it feels like his techniques would be ones I would be able to use at home. We all got to make delicious pasta and gnocchi from scratch, and they were by far the best gluten-free versions of either we've ever had. We also made gelato from scratch, which was incredibly rich and creamy. We got to learn how to make gluten-free pizza dough as well, which generated some beautiful pizzas. Afterward, Chef Christian provided all of us with his cookbooks to ensure we would be able to have all the recipes for the delicious pasta, pizza, sauces, and gelato from the class. Chef Christian was a wonderful teacher, both funny and engaging. His love of cooking and sharing his knowledge with others shone through the entire time. He was happy to answer questions and explain his thinking in creating these wonderful dishes. He was great with my kids (ages 11 and 13), and the whole family had a blast. We are excited to try making these things at home. Thank you so much, Chef Christian!

This class was absolutely incredible! As someone who has to eat gluten-free, finding authentic pasta in Italy can be tough, let alone learning how to make it from scratch. Christian made the experience so much fun! The pasta was the best I’ve ever tasted (gluten free or normal). The highlight of my trip so far- don’t miss it!
Thank you so much Reading your review truly made my day — I’m so happy the class became a highlight of your trip. Knowing that a gluten‑free guest found authentic, delicious pasta in Rome and learned to make it from scratch is exactly why I do this. What I loved about your note Celiac‑friendly success — creating worry‑free, restaurant‑quality GF pasta is my promise, and I’m thrilled it delivered for you. Fun and relaxed teaching — I aim to make technique feel playful and approachable, so I’m glad the class felt enjoyable as well as instructive. High praise for the pasta — being called the best you’ve ever tasted, GF or not, is the highest compliment I can receive. Quick chef tips to keep the Rome flavour at home Dough feel: aim for a soft, slightly tacky ball that holds together. Rest time: 20–30 minutes helps GF flours hydrate and roll more easily. Cook fast: fresh GF pasta often needs only 60–90 seconds; taste early. Finish with good oil: a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil lifts delicate GF textures. I’m so glad you had a memorable evening. If you try the recipes at home and want a quick tip or a photo critique, send one over and I’ll happily help. There will always be a seat at my table and another bottle of limoncello waiting when you return to Rome. Warmest thanks and safe travels, Christian Righi

Christian’s class was fantastic. I had never been able to make pizza before, and he made it easy, fun, and incredibly tasty. The gluten‑free supplì al telefono was a dream, and the strawberry gelato turned out perfect. The setting is stunning — a villa with a garden inside the Appia Antica Park. Christian even showed me a hidden gem on the property. He gifted me his cooking book too, which was such a lovely touch. I’ll absolutely be back.
Thank you so much for this wonderful review — it truly made me smile! I’m thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed the class, from finally mastering pizza to creating that dreamy gluten‑free supplì al telefono and the perfectly fresh strawberry gelato. When someone arrives saying “I’ve never been able to make pizza before” and leaves saying it was easy, fun, and delicious… that’s the best reward. The villa inside the Appia Antica Park really does add a touch of magic, and I’m glad you loved the setting — and the little hidden gem I showed you on the property. Sharing those special corners is one of my favorite parts. And I’m so happy the cookbook was a lovely surprise. I can already imagine you recreating everything at home with confidence and joy. Hearing that you’ll “absolutely be back” is the biggest compliment. Whenever you’re ready for more Roman cooking adventures, I’ll be here — hands in the dough and a big smile waiting for you.
