Wandel door de boerderij om niet alleen koffiebomen te zien, maar ook mango, avocado en andere fruitbomen. Maak kennis met de natte verwerkingsmethode tijdens het oogstseizoen en krijg inzicht in de droog- en sorteerprocessen. Sluit uw bezoek af met een proeverij van verse, lokaal geproduceerde koffie in ons proeflokaal.

Uw tour door Bayview Kona Coffee Farm begint onder de schaduw van koffiebomen, waar uw deskundige gids u kennis laat maken met de unieke koffiesoorten die exclusief in Kona worden verbouwd. Je leert over de levenscyclus van een koffieboom, uitdagingen waarmee de regio wordt geconfronteerd (zoals ongedierte en schimmels) en de rijke vulkanische grond die Kona-koffie wereldberoemd maakt. Van daaruit wandel je langs mango-, avocado-, bananen- en theeplanten terwijl je op weg gaat naar onze eigen molen en droogfaciliteit. Bekijk het hele koffieproces uit de eerste hand – van oogsten tot schillen, sorteren en branden. U ziet zelfs onze USDA-classificatiemachine en zwaartekrachttabel, die uniek zijn voor onze boerderij. De tour eindigt in onze branderij en proefruimte, waar u enkele van de meest verse 100% Kona-koffie proeft die beschikbaar is, gebrand op locatie enkele dagen ervoor. Onze meeslepende tour biedt meer dan alleen sightseeing - het is een reis achter de schermen door de kunst, wetenschap en passie achter elke kop Bayview-koffie.

The meeting point was very far away from the Kona port / downtown. There is a Painted Church in downtown here, but that is not where the meeting point is. It is at the coffee farm itself, which is a much different Painted Church location.
Mark was a great tour guide and showed us the whole process for making coffee! We also got to sip different brews.

The guide was very informative and walked through the entire process from tree to store shelf. We also received some information about mangoes and Apple bananas. The couple we were with had taken a different tour before and didn’t get as much information as this tour.

We had such a great time at the coffee farm! It was a hot, hot day, but the quick tour made for the perfect stop on our last day in Hawaii. ☕️🌺 We loved getting to see the entire process—from how the coffee beans start growing to how they’re harvested, processed, and eventually sold locally. When you are vacationing on the Big Island, I highly suggest doing the Kona Coffee Farm Tour from Tree to Tasting Room tour. It was informative and the coffee tasted great. The tour is not that long, so if you have other activities schedule, it should not interfere with the rest of your plans that day. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed. It is absolutely worth it.
