Kom aan op Tean Island voor het beste koraalrif in het gebied, waar je aan het snorkelen bent. Ko Taen is een eiland, ongeveer 15 kilometer van het vasteland en vijf kilometer ten zuiden van Ko Samui in de Golf van Thailand. Het maakt deel uit van de Samui-archipel, die ongeveer 60 andere eilanden omvat.
Koh Madsum is een eilandpareltje voor de kust van Koh Samui. Met een uitstekend stuk zand en fantastisch helder water, waardoor Koh Madsum populair is onder snorkelaars, is het eiland onlangs om een andere reden beroemd geworden. Omgedoopt tot Pig Island, verwelkomt Koh Madsum dagelijkse bezoekers met een groot aantal halfwilde zwijnen, die over het eiland slenteren. Hier kun je strandkammen tussen de biggen, snorkelen of kajakken langs de kust.

We decided to go on exactly this tour because it was expected to take longer than the others. The description states: 2h Koh Tan + 4h Koh Madsum. This did not correspond to reality: we had 40 minutes to snorkel off Koh Tan from the boat. We were not on the island itself. Afterwards we went over to Koh Madsum (stay about 2.5h). Where the idiots romped around the pigs and held their phone cameras to within a few inches of their faces. They ran after the pigs, patted them all the time and screamed in terror when one of the animals moved in their direction... as so often, man is the problem here. You can also observe the animals from a distance without penetrating them. The food was good and sufficient. There was water. You can't expect miracles, though. We walked to the View Point afterwards. The site was much calmer and more relaxed. There is also a small secluded stretch of beach there that we liked a lot. The crew was very nice and tried (earned tips) and the boat (small speedboat, 13 passengers) was also great.

In the boat we were 40 people (instead of 15 as said by the guide). It was a speedboat and not the long tail. Snorkeling was terrible there were no fishes. Pig island instead is really nice.
Pick up and drop off service was super helpful, boat ride was quick and nice, Pig island was so fun and cute, and the food was good. If you want ALL day snorkeling though, Pig Island is not for you. You mostly just relax there.
Our tour guide and ้his team were good fun, the views were great and we managed to see a few Dolphins, before heading to pig island, we then went back to the main shore for a very questionable Thai buffet. The buffet is to feed several different tours so the food is just sitting there in the heat, apart from this I would highly recommend this tour.
