De labyrintachtige lay-out van het paleis brengt de legende van de Minotaurus tot leven, terwijl de gereconstrueerde fresco’s – zoals de Prins der Lelies en de spannende stierspringende scènes – momenten vastleggen die bevroren zijn in de tijd. Met een gediplomeerde Gids veranderen de ruïnes van stille stenen in een levendig verhaal. Je begrijpt de symboliek in de kunst, het doel achter het ontwerp van het paleis en hoe de Minoërs meer dan 4.000 jaar geleden leefden. Het is alsof je de paden bewandelt van Minoïsche koningshuizen. Voor de volledige Minoïsche ervaring kunt u eenvoudig upgraden naar het Archeologisch Museum van Heraklion wandeltocht - zelfs op het laatste moment. Knossos toont u de oude stad; het museum onthult zijn schatten, van ingewikkelde artefacten tot originele fresco's die ter plaatse zijn gevonden. - Tijdens de zomermaanden (juni-juli-augustus), Bezoek Knossos en vermijd de drukte en de hitte! Ontrafel de mythe van het labyrint en ervaar Knossos op zijn sereenst, met als beste tijd om 17:00 (17:00). Doe met ons mee voor een onvergetelijke ervaring!
- Knossos Palace – Informatie over de vergadering Onze incheckmedewerker wacht op u bij de ticketbalie op Knossos, met een bord met ons “Ontmoetingspunt”-logo. Inchecken begint 20 minuten voor aanvang van de tour. Dit is een gedeelde groepsreis met strikte toegangstijden. Laatkomers kunnen niet worden toegelaten. Als u na uw geplande tijd aankomt, zijn uw gereserveerde toegangskaarten al verlopen en wordt de tour beschouwd als een no-show. Onder voorbehoud van beschikbaarheid zullen we ons uiterste best doen om u te helpen bij het kopen van nieuwe toegangskaarten; maar als de rondleiding eenmaal is begonnen, is het mogelijk dat u niet meer kunt deelnemen. Komt u met de auto? Houd rekening met extra tijd om parkeergelegenheid te vinden. We raden sterk aan om minstens 30 minuten voor aanvang van de tour aanwezig te zijn, vooral voor de 10 : 00–11 : 00 AM slots, wanneer parkeren en toegang tot het terrein het drukst zijn. Zomertip (juni–augustus) : De meest comfortabele tijd om Knossos te verkennen is 17:00 (5:00 PM), wanneer de drukte en hitte op hun laagst zijn. Ga dan met ons mee voor een meer serene ervaring terwijl u de mythen van het Labyrint en de grandeur van Minoïsch Kreta ontrafelt.
- Controleer uw locatie voordat u boekt! Knossos Palace ligt op slechts 5 km (20 min) van Heraklion haven / luchthaven - erg handig. Het is niet handig vanaf Chania (Souda haven of CHQ luchthaven) - het is 140 km afstand (2,5 uur met de auto). Wij zijn gevestigd in Heraklion

The best time for this tour is in the morning, as soon as the site opens. We met our tour guide in a group of about 10 other tourists. Taxi from Heraklion was €20, bus back was €2.80. The tour guide was knowledgeable and patient, and took us to shaded sites and best areas for photos. Her explanations proved helpful when we visited the archeological museum on our own.

Fantastic tour with an excellent guide, Akrivi. She really explained what we were looking at well and brought the site to life with links to mythology and also what those myths actually symbolise. I would definitely recommend doing a guided tour of this site as there is much more to it than just the ruins.
