Heraklion is de hoofdstad van Kreta en een van de meest fascinerende en levendige steden van het Middellandse Zeegebied met veel historische monumenten om te bezoeken. Het zit vol met plekken om te ontdekken. Knossos is er een van, het mythische labyrint en de oude hoofdstad van het Minoïsche Kreta, 5000 jaar geleden. Volg deze tour en combineer een bezoek aan het stadscentrum en het paleis van de Minoïsche beschaving.

We beginnen 's ochtends met het verzamelen van deelnemers van ophaalpunten. Afhankelijk van de plaats van je hotel/appartement zal de busrit verschillen.
Knossos, het mythische labyrint en de oude hoofdstad van Minoïsch Kreta, 5000 jaar geleden. Onze deelnemers zullen de archeologische vindplaats betreden met onze vertegenwoordiger om een rondleiding van ongeveer 1 uur en 20 minuten bij te wonen en daarna te genieten van wat vrije tijd om foto's te maken en de historische Minoïsche plaats te bewonderen. Deelnemers moeten in de rij wachten om hun tickets te ontvangen en het Paleis binnen te gaan.
Na het verlaten van het paleis van Knossos, zal onze bus ons naar de stad Heraklion brengen. Daar zullen de deelnemers een rondleiding volgen in het stadscentrum en het historische deel van Heraklion, gevolgd door 2u30min vrije tijd op de oude markt om te wandelen, foto's en winkelen. Optioneel: Het bezoek aan het Archeologisch Museum van Heraklion is optioneel en zal zonder gids zijn aangezien de covid-regelgeving voor het bezoeken van het museum als groep erg streng is en te veel tijd en hoge kosten zou vergen.
Inschepen in de bussen en terugrijden naar de hotels waar we 's ochtends de deelnemers verzamelden. Afhankelijk van het verkeer en de ophaalplaatsen van elke locatie, zal de tijd van de terugreis naar het hotel verschillen.

We halen reizigers op van specifieke punten in de gebieden Sisi, Malia, Stalis, Chersonissos, Anissaras, Agkisaras, Piskopiano, Koutouloufari, Gouves, Gournes, Kokkini Hani, Karteros, Amoudara, Agia Pelagia en van twee centraal gelegen punten in de stad Heraklion. Zodra u de boeking maakt, nemen wij contact met u op om u de exacte plaats en tijd van de ophaalservice te laten weten, die dichter bij uw hotel ligt. Controleer uw e-mail.

This was a very interesting and educational tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and entertaining. What an amazing culture!
We had booked a tour with a guide in Italian, paying a higher price for it compared to other guided tours with a guide only in English. Unfortunately, upon arriving at Knossos we discovered that our tour guide was explaining only in English. Good, but not in the language we booked. If it is not possible to guarantee the service, it should not even be made bookable.
Ms Veronica, Which date was your reservation made? I ask because we provide this tour in Italian every Saturday and we always have Italian speaking guide. We have never done this to our clients. Perhaps you went with another company and not ''CRETAN ODYSSEY'' and it is not fair to receive this review. Visiting after 5 PM, few people, great for a relaxed visit! Very beautiful site. Explanations via free QR code, audio in English or Greek. For French, it is to be read. Otherwise, ask the AI.

I had a mixed experience with this tour. The pickup and drop off was well organized. Same applies to the ticket purchase. Needless to say, to be at Knossos is amazing in and of itself. However, what was disappointing was the informational component of the tour. Several facts shared by the tour guide were incorrect (sigh), including those pertaining to the start and end of the bronze age, the behaviour of dolphins, among others. Also, there were many misogynistic jokes/generalizations. Moreover, the city tour was very quick, without much detail.

I was so looking forward to this and Cretan Odyssey didn't disappoint. Very professional and upbeat guide. Had a fab time.
We had a very nice guided tour of Sula, who could show us much more through our small group than would have been possible with a large group, so we were also able to view smaller rooms of Knossos, while Sula told us very pleasantly about the story and towards the end of the tour of Knossos also about the origin of mythology. She was very professional, had a pleasant way of talking and she was able to inspire even my rather less interested mother about the stories of Knossos and Heraklion! Great, detailed tour and best regards:)
