De Knik Glacier off-roading en wandeltour valt op omdat het twee avonturen in één combineert – een spannende rit door de ware Alaskaanse wildernis in een speciaal aangepaste Jeep, gevolgd door een wandeling van dichtbij naar een van de meest dynamische en indrukwekkende gletsjers van de staat. In tegenstelling tot drukke paden elders, is het Knik-gebied afgelegen, rustig en voortdurend in verandering, met verschuivende ijsbergen, helderblauwe smeltbaden en dramatische uitzichten op de bergen die elk bezoek uniek maken. Gasten krijgen de sensatie van ruige off-road reizen, de schoonheid van gletsjertrekking en onvergetelijke fotomogelijkheden – allemaal zonder technische vaardigheden – waardoor een authentieke, meeslepende Alaska-ervaring ontstaat die je niet op andere tours zult vinden.

Riem vast! Onze custom-built Jeep brengt ons over een ruw off-road parcours terwijl we op avontuur gaan naar de spectaculaire Knikgletsjer.
De Knikgletsjer biedt een van Alaska’s meest spectaculaire wilderniservaringen. Na een spannende off-road rit naar de trailhead, vertrokken we te voet over open toendra, gevlochten rivierbeddingen en gletsjermorenes. Het landschap verschuift met elke stap – torenhoge ijswanden, diepblauwe spleten, drijvende ijsbergen en het echoënde gekraak van bewegend ijs. Deze wandeling is matig uitdagend maar ongelooflijk de moeite waard. Onderweg wandel je langs eeuwenoud ijs dat duizenden jaren oud is, voel je de koele gletsjerbries en zie je kleuren blauw waarvan je niet wist dat ze bestonden. Hoe dichterbij we komen, hoe dramatischer het landschap wordt: glinsterende ijsvelden, kristalheldere smeltpoelen en panoramische uitzichten op de bergen. Het is niet zomaar een wandeling – het is een onderdompeling in de rauwe, krachtige natuur van Alaska. Perfect voor avonturiers en iedereen die een kijkje op de eerste rij wil nemen op een van de meest indrukwekkende gletsjers van de staat.

I did this tour in March through Northbound-Adventure. I shared a jeep with the guide & one couple. It was my first time off-roading in a jeep, it was really fun, driving through the woods, across snow & ice + through water. My guide was funny & informative and stopped for all moose sightings. It’s an easy hike around the glacier, amazing views & they offer to take photos of you in front of the ice cave, etc.
Glacier super shocking, well received, go to Alaska's best fun projects, none of them, the guide really patient, it was fun~

Knik Glacier is simply gorgeous and the icy-blue hues are out of this world. We visited in peak winter, which means about 2 hours of off-roading to get to this beautiful, secluded, remote location. Our hosts made sure to point out wildlife like Moose, were friendly and flexible and just generally awesome! I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to have a very unique, private experience. The remoteness and ruggedness of this location means that you have the place pretty much to yourselves once you reach (no crowds at all), which was a major reason I picked the Knik over Matanuska, along with the fact that the Knik glacier has more fresh ice, and hence bluer hues and a very vast, diverse landscape. This is one of the very few tours that hit Knik Glacier in the winter (aside from few Helicopter landings), and it's definitely well worth it.
Walking through more than 80 countries and regions around the world, this Knik Glacier in Alaska really shook me!! 1. Off-road section: Drive for nearly 2 hours on off-road roads and feel Alaska's pristine wildness, passing through glaciers, glaciers, bushland, muddy mountain roads, earthy hilly rolling roads, and the last stretch of wilderness roads bordered by glaciers! It really makes me happy! 2. Glacier Experience: This glacier is without any commercial exploitation of the original scenery! Intimate Glacier Guide also prepared ice claws, the glacial lake in winter is completely frozen state, it is safe to walk up, no difficulty, young and old! Looking at these big floating ice cubes, it just feels like they've crossed over to Earth thousands of years ago, and these glaciers are blue to the point of exaggeration, and the pictures taken don't have to be filtered! Overall this experience is a perfect combination of wildness and pristine glaciers that few can find!
I sincerely recommend this trip to appreciate the magic of nature！！ Great experience, our tour guides are very good, and shared the local life with us along the way. The glacier hiking guides are very professional and explained a lot of knowledge to us. The trip to the glacier by off-road vehicle is rare to experience in other tour groups! 乘坐越野車前往冰川地點是很難得在其它行程有的體驗～途中經過崎嶇泥濘的森林小徑，以及結冰的湖泊，還有偶遇野生麋鹿出現草叢中，非常有意思！！每位導遊都幽默風趣又專業，我們全家都很開心❤️
This was my first time experiencing off-roading and glacier hiking, and it was truly unforgettable. The guides were professional and attentive, providing clear safety instructions and sharing helpful knowledge before the tour began. The off-road ride offered beautiful Alaskan scenery, and reaching Knik Glacier was absolutely breathtaking. The hike was well-paced, safe, and very enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to friends and family. We had an absolutely unforgettable adventure with the off-roading and glacier hiking tour out to Knik Glacier! From start to finish, the experience was well-organized, friendly, and genuinely exciting. The guides provided clear safety instruction and made sure everyone felt comfortable before heading out. The off-road portion was a true Alaskan thrill — riding through varied terrain with great views and even some wildlife sightings along the way. Once we reached the glacier, the scenery was breathtaking and well worth the trip! The hike up to the ice was both manageable and incredibly scenic.
The guide was very professional and knowledgable, with lots of equipment to take photos. The offroad ride was really fun too.
