Vandaag verken je het Yorkshire Dales National Park, een knooppunt van natuurlijke schoonheden en historische prestaties. En voor degenen met een liefde voor het geschreven woord, zul je het geweldig vinden om in de pagina's van het Brontë-land te duiken en steden als Haworth te verkennen, waar de beroemde Brontë-zusters leefden, schreven en inspireerden. Ga met ons mee op deze tour met 16 zitplaatsen in een kleine groep en verken Brontë Country.

Ontdek het charmante stadje Haworth, de thuisbasis van de Brontë-zussen. U kunt een bezoek brengen aan The Brontë Parsonage Museum (openingstijden variëren). Geniet van de leuke winkeltjes, cafés en geplaveide straten en ontdek waarom de Brontës hier inspiratie vonden. Fans van The Railway Children moeten Oakworth Station bezoeken, dat in de serie voorkomt.
Onze rit door de Yorkshire Dales biedt een adembenemend landschap: glooiende heuvels, ruige heidevelden en pittoreske valleien. U zult overal de prominente kalksteenformaties opmerken, van kliffen en grotten tot ontsluitingen en littekens.
We komen aan in Grassington, het ‘hart van de Yorkshire Dales’ en de echte setting voor Darrowby in All Creatures Great & Small. En op slechts vijf minuten lopen van de parkeerplaats vindt u de schoonheid van Linton Falls. Als er veel regen is gevallen (het is tenslotte het Verenigd Koninkrijk), hoort u hun donderende roep als u dichterbij komt. U hebt vrije tijd in Grassington om te verkennen en een hapje te eten.
Deze waterval met drie niveaus trekt al meer dan 200 jaar bezoekers, waaronder bekende figuren als dichter William Wordsworth en schilder JMW Turner. Het kan ook bekend voorkomen uit de film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
We komen aan bij Wensleydale Creamery, bewaarders van een 1000 jaar oud erfgoed. Van hun iconische, romige, kruimelige klassieke Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese tot de rijke, boterachtige smaken van Fountains Gold, dit is een droom voor kaasliefhebbers.
Een trotse demonstratie van Victoriaanse techniek, dit indrukwekkende statement-gebouw heeft een ongelooflijk uitzicht op de Three Peaks-bergen. Na een paar foto's en een beetje ontzag springt u weer in de bus en rijdt u terug naar Manchester, waar u vroeg in de avond aankomt.

- U bent beperkt tot 20 kg bagage per persoon. Dit moet één stuk bagage zijn dat vergelijkbaar is met een handbagage van een luchtvaartmaatschappij (ongeveer 55 cm x 45 cm x 25 cm) plus één kleine tas voor persoonlijke spullen aan boord.
- De totale duur van de tour omvat de reis van/naar en de tijd binnen de bestemmingen
- Om de integriteit van de tour te behouden en te proberen ervoor te zorgen dat al onze klanten de best mogelijke ervaring hebben, hanteren we een maximumboeking van één groep tot 8 passagiers.
- Houd er rekening mee dat de tour in de wintermaanden in omgekeerde volgorde wordt uitgevoerd.

Pick up location is not clearly signposted. The guide was excellent. It would have been lovely if there had been an opportunity to walk outside in the countryside.Howevet, I appreciate that there were time constraints.
This was a small group tour only 5 people. Pete our driver/guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The tour was well planned and went to some lovely locations. Would recommend this trip.
Very good tour, Pete as the guide was great, helpful, and funny. The ride was comfortable, the pace medium, the creamery at the end is a vay to end on a high note as all of the cheese was delicious 😋 Highly recommend!
This day trip is very much worth going on. The ride was good, the people were good and the locations were good. It was nice to see a part of England that wasn't a city.
I absolutely loved this day trip. It was a rainy day so I thought I may as well be on a warm bus and the rain and mist only added to the atmosphere. I loved the stops and really enjoyed each village we went too but Haworth was a standout. It’s a must do for any fans of the Brontë sisters. The food in all stops was amazing. I thought the price was great for a full day out. I did have a bit of trouble finding where the tour left from but a staff member from Dobbies rang me and told me to put ‘department of education’ into google maps and I found it easily.
You must make this excursion at all costs for the magnificent landscape with its valleys enhanced by the presence of sheep. What to say about the guide’s comments describing Yorkshire’s customs and habits, its funny anecdotes using delicate and timely humor along the way. The first stop in Haworth seemed too short for me to take in the time I spent at the museum. I would have liked an extra 30 minutes. Brassington impressed me with his stunts in the raw. The stop at the creamery seemed more “commercial” to me: they sell their products there. The stop, however brief, at Ribblehead Viaduct , the highlight of an excursion in such a pastoral landscape an excursion away from the urban frenzy inviting calm.
Had a lovely trip to the Yorkshire Dales today with Rob and Mike. They were very friendly and helpful and gave lots of interesting facts and relevant songs along the way.
Great driver very knowledgeable. The dales are beautiful and the villages very quaint. Would recommend but if only could do one of the trips I would recommend the lakes one over this
The tour is very laid back and slower paced compared to other tours by the same company, which makes it a perfect last tour in my opinion before going back home. The Bronte museum was the highlight of the tour, but everything else was very enjoyable as well. The beautiful landscapes we came across, the pretty villages we visited, and the cute sheep we encountered all made for an excellent trip. My only advice is to research the last stop beforehand hand for things to do if you're not interested in visiting the creamery. I did some much needed final shopping before leaving the UK!
Absolutely fantastic experience. Rob was amazing and knowledgeable and made the whole trip so enjoyable.
