Deze tour is beperkt tot een zeer kleine groep van maximaal 7 personen, waardoor een ontspannen en persoonlijke sfeer ontstaat die onmogelijk is tijdens standaard dag Reizen. Onder leiding van een warme, deskundige lokale Gids voelt de dag meer als reizen met een vriend dan het volgen van een script. De kleine groepsgrootte zorgt voor flexibiliteit, eenvoudige gesprekken en tijd om goed te genieten van elke plek, van het dagelijks leven in Bayonne tot de charme van de kust van Biarritz en Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Het is een sociale en snelle manier om Frans Baskenland te ervaren vanuit San Sebastián.

Bayonne – Rivieren, kleuren & eerste verhalen We beginnen de dag in Bayonne, waar rivieren samenkomen met kleurrijke straatjes en het Baskische leven heel levend aanvoelt. Terwijl we door de oude stad dwalen, verkennen we de kathedraal, steken we bruggen over en praten we over hoe de Baskische cultuur vorm kreeg aan de Franse kant van de grens. Het is een gemakkelijke, vriendelijke introductie tot de regio en een geweldige plek om je te oriënteren (en je camera tevoorschijn te halen).
Biarritz – uitzicht op de oceaan & doe-je-eigen lunch De volgende is Biarritz, waar de Atlantische Oceaan de show steelt. We wandelen langs de kust, genieten van een groot uitzicht op de oceaan en passeren de levendige markt Les Halles. Dit is uw tijd : pak een lunch als iets te lekker ruikt om te negeren, ga zitten voor een lange koffie aan zee, of gewoon dwalen en kijken surfers doen hun ding. Geen schema stress hier – Biarritz is bedoeld om te genieten in uw eigen tempo.
Saint-Jean-de-Luz – Piraten, koningen & een zoet einde We eindigen in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, een stad met meer verhalen dan je zou verwachten voor zijn grootte. Terwijl we door de straten lopen, hoor je verhalen over vissers, corsairs en zelfs een koninklijk huwelijk dat de stad voorgoed veranderde. En omdat elke goede dag een zoet einde verdient, stoppen we bij Maison Adam om de beroemde Baskische macaron te proeven – klein, eenvoudig en gevaarlijk goed.

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. This was a small group tour from San Sebastián to three cities in the Basque region of France: San Jean de Luz, Biarritz, and Bayonne. Our guide, Iñigo, was on time, informative, fun, and attentive to our interests and questions. And these are three great cities, and Iñigo knows his way around and all the info about the sights and shops. It helps that he is from the area and is a local and speaks with authority on the Basque region.
My daughter and I had the best day visiting the three Basque towns in France. Luis was amazing - kind, patient and very knowledgeable! He went out of his way to stop at places he thought we’d enjoy. Definitely worth the time and money! Neat my expectations, highly recommend!

What a great way to get a taste of France! Visiting Europe for the first time, we were looking for a way to get the most out of our trip to San Sebastian, so we booked this tour. Our guide, Luis, was the perfect combination of driver, tour guide, and historian. Our group was just us and another couple which allowed a very personal experience with Luis, his knowledge of all the places we visited and the local culture was incredible, we learned so much more than we would have if we had done this on our own. We had ample time at each destination to explore, shop, and have lunch, Luis was very flexible with the time we needed at each stop. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone!

We especially enjoyed our time in Biarritz. Expect some, but not a ton, of free time at each destination. Overall a great tour particularly for those interested in regional cuisine or getting a taste of the French side of the Basque region.

Great way to get a little taste of 3 French villages with very different personalities. Andoni was knowledgeable as he showed us around and also gave us free time to enjoy each town on our own.
