Klassieke Inca Trail naar Machu Picchu

Had an amazing 4 days/3 nights hiking the Inca trail with SAM travel. Juan was a very passionate and knowledgeable tour guide who paced the group well and ensured everyone was safe. The total group size was 4 people, which was notably smaller than other operators on the trail. The whole team did a fantastic job, especially the 10 porters, including Andreas the chef and Gregorio the waiter. Pick up and drop off at the hotel was very straight forward and queries via email ahead of the trek were always responded to.

We had an absolutely amazing time with Chris and Daniel during our three-day Sacred Valley experience, including the Short Inca Trail and Machu Picchu, followed by a trip to Pallay Punchu. Every single place we visited was absolutely stunning, and the service throughout the entire trip was exceptional. Everything was perfectly organized, which allowed us to simply enjoy the experience and take in the incredible scenery. Chris was absolutely the best! He is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. He had an answer to every question we asked and shared so much interesting information along the way. Beyond his knowledge, he is simply a wonderful person who made the experience even more special. Daniel, our driver, was also fantastic. He was so kind, warm, and professional, and always made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Honestly, it felt less like touring with guides and more like traveling with close friends or family. Both Chris and Daniel were incredibly sweet, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our trip memorable. I cannot recommend this company highly enough, and I would especially recommend Chris and Daniel to anyone visiting Peru. They made an already incredible trip truly unforgettable!

It was an incredible experience. I’ll never forget this expedition. I met amazing people and had a great time with our tour guide. Elias Usca was funny, attentive towards all of us, and gave us a lot of information throughout the entire trail. I would 100% repeat.

Our hike to Machu Picchu was amazing! Our guide, Josep, was great! He has such a great energy and made sure we had everything we needed for our hike and made sure to stop at important sites and explain the history and story’s. Even walked us to our hotel and join us for dinner. 10/10 experience and would recommend Josep as you guide every time!

We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide Josep. He was a wealth of knowledge and gave us explanations about each Incan ruin we came across on our trek. He was also very helpful with planning logistics. It was very helpful to have someone making sure we were going to the right place, at the right time (ie the Machu Picchu circuits, busses, and trains). We had a great time and I would recommend this trek & guide to anyone!!

Loved our 2 day Inca trail hike to Machu Picchu. Our guide Josep was absolutely wonderful! Truly exceptional. I feel like I leaned so much about the Inca and Machu Picchu which was definitely my goal during this trip. Would recommend Josep and SAM travel a thousand times over!

The Inca Trail with Elias Usca and the entire team of porters (with Pichón as our cook) was amazing. This is not an easy hike, but they make it really enjoyable every day. Highly recommend SAM for this trek and of course Elias as the guide.

Josep was very knowledgeable; he gave us a greater appreciation of the Incan culture. He was patient, took photos for us, helped to keep us safe. You’ll be very happy .
