De rit duurt ongeveer 1,5 uur door schilderachtig landschap en prachtige bergketens. Onderweg stop je bij de Nabalu Fruit Market.
Desa Cow Farm is de thuisbasis van het lokale melkmerk Desa en de boerderij is populair bij zowel de lokale bevolking als toeristen, en het is niet moeilijk te begrijpen waarom! Met een adembenemend uitzicht op de majestueuze Mount Kinabalu en groene weilanden, is het geen wonder dat het 'Het Kleine Nieuw-Zeeland' van Sabah wordt genoemd.
Middag lunch in een lokaal restaurant. Vertrek naar Poring Hot Spring met nog eens 45 minuten rijden door het platteland en passeer Kundasang's groenteteeltstad
Bij aankomst maakt u een wandeling van 20 minuten om de Canopy Walkway te bereiken. Ervaar de hoogte van 60 meter boven de grond vanaf de top van de boom.
Of u neemt gewoon een duik in de Japanse badkuip in open lucht waarvan wordt aangenomen dat het hete zwavelhoudende water genezende krachten heeft
Kinabalu Park, dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst staat, beslaat een oppervlakte van 754 vierkante kilometer en werd in 1964 als park bekendgemaakt. De basis voor de oprichting van een beschermd gebied in Kinabalu werd gevormd nadat een rapport van de Royal Society Kinabalu Wetenschappelijke expeditie in 1962-1964 leidde door Prof. Corner. Het is het eerste park in de Maleisische staat Borneo, Sabah.

A very long day but most of it spent on the road. Kinabalu Park is like a little village centre with market and souvenir shops but all shops sell the same stuffs. Views of Mt Kinabalu is not exactly spectacular here. The gelato at Desa Farm is good, very sunny here though temperature not that high. Poring Hot Spring is just so-so, the waterfall is a disappointment. Overall not enjoyable especially the guide did not give much commentary about the places and history. He's quiet most of the time.
Really good day! Our guide was very knowledge and happy to answer any questions. Great day with a real variety of activities. The canopy walk was the real highlight! Fabulous scenery and views!
Do not travel with this company. We paid over $500 for a tour to mount kinabalu park and botanic gardens. We specifically chose a tour that didn’t go to the dairy farm (we live in dairy farm country and we’re not interested in this). We specifically wanted to go to the botanic gardens and mount kinabalu park which we booked. I even contacted the tour company to check on the pick up time and they told me that we were the only ones on the tour so I was a bit surprised when the bus was full. We got on our tour bus at 7am and they took us on a three hour drive which went to the dairy farm! When we questioned this as it wasn’t on our tour the driver just told us it was on his itinerary. So we thought it was just something that was on all the tours but then we discovered that we went going to go to the botanic gardens or Kinabalu park at all. We were 4 hours into the tour and couldn’t do anything but stay on the bus and complain to the company “Viator” when we got back. This company has refused to refund us for the tour which we paid for but they didn’t provide. They obviously put us on another tour as they wanted to save money as there would have been two half full tours otherwise, even though they were different tours. This is fraudulent behaviour when they take your money and don’t provide the service you have paid for. Don’t go with them. The tour that we went on was 81/2 hours on a bus and all we saw was a dairy warm (really why?), a market which was half closed the only thing open were stalls selling bits of food, and a lunch stop and visit to the canopy wall and hot pools (concrete baths full of hot water). It was not worth the 8+ hours of driving in an uncomfortable bus. We arrived back at 7pm (12 hours later!)

Amazing trip. Park Kinabalu is really unique in its nature and animals. The preserved nature allows you to truly experience the very old forest.
