Kilimanjaro Climb Marangu Route 6 dagen

De Marangu-route neemt je in een rustig tempo door bossen, heidevelden en vervolgens over The Saddle, een woestijn op grote hoogte die de hoofdtop, Kibo, 5895m, scheidt van de ruige Mawenzi, 5149m, naar Kibo Hut. Vanaf hier wordt een vroege start gemaakt voor de klim naar Uhuru Point (de top van Kibo). Het pad zigzagt omhoog over steile steile paden die gemakkelijker te beklimmen zijn als het bevroren is. Het uitzicht vanaf de kraterrand bij Gillman's Point bij zonsopgang kan spectaculair zijn. Uhuru Peak ligt net boven. Dit is een zware wandeltocht maar binnen de grenzen van een fit persoon die gewend is om in berggebieden te wandelen. Een extra dag voor acclimatisatie aan de hoogte wordt aanbevolen bij Horombo, vanwaar u verschillende wandelingen kunt maken.

We had an amazing time with the team and with Shungu. We could see that he treated his team with a lot of respect, they are all friends from childhood and they admire him. That was one of the things that I valued the most. Everthing was as it was talked before, good food, they borrowed us clothes, good acommodation and we felt very cared. They are professional. I would recommend it. He has an ethic business and we could see thst we supported the locals.
