Everything was perfectly orchestrated by Altezza. During the climb we were supported by the best team at all. WOW!! Incredible team, incredible experience. 8-day Lemosho route June 2026 with Altezza exceeded our expectations! From start to finish, this company knocked it out of the park. The booking process, transfers, hotels, and administrative support were seamless and made the entire trip so much more enjoyable. Polina was patient with all of our questions and facilitated everything!! They delivered personalized service at every step. The trek itself was unbelievable. Our guides Rashid, Hance, and George were phenomenal- truly off the charts. They were so kind, patience, informative, funny, and caring, we will sincerely miss them. They assisted my younger daughter in successfully reaching the summit, even at times when we thought she wasn’t going to be able to continue. The food and gear was excellent. Our food servers Adalade and Kenja deserve special mention, waking us every morning with a smile and coffee, making us laugh, and treating us like family. The company takes great care of its porters, and they treat each other with respect. Everyone on the team was friendly, supportive, giving 100% effort and truly seemed like part of a big family. I knew that the experience of the trek and the climb was going to be amazing, I did not expect that the bonding and relationships with team itself was going to be so meaningful. These are amazing people. This tour company charges a little more than others. Do your research, it’s worth paying extra for the service, and the ethics that the company stands for. Most professional and well-organized company I've ever traveled with. Everything was perfect down to the smallest thing. The guides that took us to the top really made us feel safe from day 1 and ensured we had the best time possible.

Where do I even begin? Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Altezza was the greatest adventure our family has ever experienced. My husband, our 22-year-old daughter, our 14-year-old daughter, and I set out to do something we weren't entirely sure we could accomplish. Thanks to the incredible Altezza team, we all stood on the summit together. It is a memory and accomplishment we will cherish for the rest of our lives. From the moment we arrived, the entire crew made us feel like family. Our guides, porters, cooks, and servers worked together so seamlessly, and every single person made our experience special. Our guides were with us every step of the way—encouraging us, making us laugh, keeping our spirits high with songs and chants, and always knowing exactly what we needed to hear when the climb became challenging. The food was outstanding—far better than we ever imagined possible on a mountain! Every morning started with cheerful smiles, coffee or tea delivered to our tent with a song, and every evening ended with thoughtful touches like the warm "Altezza Bunny" tucked into our sleeping bags to keep us warm. Daily health checks and encouraging pep talks made us feel safe, cared for, and confident throughout the trek. The servers were so kind and friendly and constantly had us laughing. One of the things that impressed us most about Altezza is how they treat their staff. Knowing that the guides and porters receive fair wages and are treated with respect was incredibly important to our family. For us, choosing a company isn't just about finding the lowest price—it's about supporting a company that values and takes care of the people who make these expeditions possible. This trek, and reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro, was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Even now, as I reflect on everything we accomplished, it almost feels like a dream. I expected the climb to be physically challenging, but what I didn't anticipate was how profoundly the people around us would shape the experience. The mountain is breathtaking, but it's the people who made the journey truly unforgettable. There were so many moments that still don't seem real: camping beneath the Milky Way, waking each morning to breathtaking sunrises, hiking high above a blanket of clouds, and finally watching the sun rise from the roof of Africa. Those moments alone would have made the trip unforgettable, but it was the people we shared them with who made them truly special. Our crew consisted of 66 incredible people who supported us every step of the way. From our guides, who were constantly by our side, to the porter team, who quite literally carried the weight of our journey by transporting everything we needed between camps, every single person played an essential role in our success. Our culinary team, our "stomach engineers", somehow managed to prepare delicious, nourishing meals every day, even in the middle of the mountain. They were able to support specific dietary restrictions which was something I was concerned about before travelling. Our waiters greeted us each morning with warm drinks before we even climbed out of our tents and encouraged us to eat, knowing that every bite would help fuel us for the challenges ahead. It was such a small gesture, but one that made every morning feel welcoming and gave us the energy we needed. Our guide team was exceptional. Bosco and Peter made sure we were prepared for each day's hike and always put our safety first. Modest kept spirits high with his infectious positivity, while Godfrey was a huge support on summit night and shared his knowledge of the mountain's wildlife, and unique ecosystem during our hikes, making every day feel like an adventure as well as a climb. Margreth was an absolute standout. Her encouragement, kindness, and genuine care made such a difference, and she was always wonderful to talk with along the trail. Having a female guide was especially meaningful, and it was equally inspiring to meet Kathrine, who was training to become a guide and was about to take that next exciting step in her career. The guides in training who carried out our daily health checks and supported us during summit night were equally phenomenal. Their professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm left no doubt that they will become exceptional guides themselves. Our trekking group had 13 climbers, and every single one of us reached the summit. That speaks volumes about the team's organization, experience, and commitment. They were able to adapt to each person's pace and individual needs, ensuring no one felt rushed or left behind. I truly believe that personalized support was one of the biggest reasons our entire group was successful. We completed the 8-day route, and I would highly recommend it. The gradual ascent gave us the best possible chance to acclimatize, and on the days when people struggled with the altitude, the crew was always there with encouragement, careful monitoring, and unwavering support. At every point, we felt safe, cared for, and confident that we were in the best hands possible. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough. Climbing Kilimanjaro is an extraordinary achievement, but the people who helped us get there are what I'll remember most. Long after the summit photo, I'll remember the songs echoing along the trail, the laughter around camp, the endless stars overhead, waking above the clouds, and the incredible crew who turned an already amazing adventure into the experience of a lifetime. If I'm fortunate enough to climb Kilimanjaro again, or simply return to Tanzania, I sincerely hope I have the chance to see these amazing people again. Asante sana for making a dream come true.
