Aan de rand van Nairobi maakt Kibera deel uit van een van de meest ontwikkelde steden van Afrika en staat er tegelijkertijd los van. Ja, er is hier veel armoede, maar er is ook een gevoel van vrijheid.

De tour duurt 3 tot 4 uur inclusief 2 tot 3 uur lopen. U kunt de tour in de ochtend of middag doen. Je kunt verschillende plaatsen bezoeken, waaronder een weeshuis/school gebouwd door ‘mama Tunza’. Ontmoet deze indrukwekkende vrouw en bekijk haar werk in het kindertehuis. Een kralenfabriek: in Kibera wordt alles hergebruikt en zo ook de botten van de slager. Kijk hoe deze botten in kralen veranderen. U krijgt ook de kans om een typisch Kibera-huis te bezoeken. Voel je welkom in een van de huizen in Kibera en stel je vragen over het dagelijks leven in Kibera. Je bezoekt ook het biogascentrum: een fantastisch uitzicht over Kibera en picture-point. Je ziet dat ook menselijk afval hier niet wordt verspild.
