Het water is een briljante tint turkoois - kalm, warm en kristalhelder, perfect om te waden of snorkelen langs de kust, Goed snorkelen in de buurt van de rotsachtige randen waar kleurrijke vissen cluster, met watersportmogelijkheden zoals jetskiverhuur, paddleboarden. Net buiten de kust zie je Nevis oprijzen als een groene fluwelen koepel, waardoor het hele uitzicht een perfect ansichtkaartgevoel krijgt. Dit strand heeft een luxere uitstraling dankzij Carambola Beach Club, een chique plek met witte baldakijnen, ligbedden en gastronomische eilandfusiekeuken. Locals, toeristen en studenten van de nabijgelegen universiteit mengen zich hier allemaal. Je zult BBQ-grills vinden die roken, barmannen die rumpunch mixen en strandstoelen die klaarliggen voor iedereen die ze wil. This is a great way to see the island! Our driver Kenva was amazing. He always made sure we were having a good time and had drinks in our hands. It was very easy to find him with the directions that were sent to us. Even though our cruise left earlier than normal, he adjusted our times on each beach and made sure we were back on time. He was also a really good source of information on the island and it's history. I could not have loved our beach sampler more.

We had an amazing day exploring St. Kitts with Nick from Ken’s Taxi & Tours! It ended up being a private tour with just my husband and me, which made the experience even more special. Since we were solo we were in a smaller suv so there was no WIFI but we were so busy and barely in the suv. Nick was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much about the island’s history, culture, and daily life. We visited some of the most beautiful viewpoints, including Timothy Hill Overlook, where you can see both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean at the same time. Every stop offered incredible scenery and great photo opportunities. He even made 2 extra stops because of my love of scenery. The tour was relaxed and we never felt rushed. If you’re visiting St. Kitts and want to experience the island beyond the cruise port, I highly recommend Ken’s Taxi & Tours—especially if you can request Nick. He made our day unforgettable! The cooler full of happiness also was a huge hit! We loved the rum punch!

Great experience and really got a feel for different beaches of st kitts. Opted for this over a historical tour, but our driver had plenty of interesting facts. Driving to the different beaches we got to see different areas of the island.

Very good indeed loved the on board air con transport with a FREE ON BOARD BAR! We enjoyed the three trips to the beaches. FREE DRINKS INCLUDED SOFT DRINKS THEN CARIB BEER AND GREAT RUM PUNCH ALL IN A LARGE BAR BAG FULL OF ICE

We lucked out, with no cruise ships in port, and got the tour all to ourselves. Our driver, Kenva, was very friendly and even offered to take some pictures for us when we checked out the scenic overlook at the beginning of our tour. Through no fault of our tour, we did deal with some seaweed at the first beach we went to, Cockleshell, aka, Reggae Beach. Our next stop, Carambola Beach Club, we got another benefit of it being a non-cruise ship day, and paid a greatly reduced price for our beach chairs. The lunch and drink options were nice, and the service was great. The next beach we went to, near Frigate Bay, in front of the Shiggidy Shack, was alright. It’s nice if you’re looking for very calm water, but that was the silver lining, in my humble opinion. The last beach was a cool experience, as I’ve never been on a black sand beach before. There is a ton of sea glass if you’re looking for a small souvenir. There’s a bit of an incline to deal with to get to and from the beach, so it’s a good idea to have something better than flip flops. The last stop is purely for the scenery and sea glass, so don’t expect any sunbathing at this beach, but you should have had your full at this point. We really enjoyed our tour with Kenva and Ken’s special rum punch was delicious. If you’re like us, and experiencing a beach at your resort on the Atlantic side that is plagued by stinking seaweed, this tour is a great opportunity to get some time in the waters of the Caribbean and see some of the beautiful island of St. Kitts outside of the confines of the resort.
