Deze tour met kleine groepen Kathedraal en Giralda (max. 10 personen) is ontworpen voor reizigers die een meer persoonlijke en diepgaande ervaring willen, waarbij grote drukte en standaard groepsbezoeken worden vermeden. Met een beperkt aantal gasten is het bezoek boeiender en interactiever, waardoor er tijd is voor vragen en een duidelijker inzicht in de geschiedenis, kunst en architectuur van dit bijzondere monument. Je verkent belangrijke gebieden zoals het hoofdaltaar, het koor, de kloostergang en het graf van Christoffel Columbus, terwijl je de culturele invloeden ontdekt die de kathedraal hebben gevormd. De ervaring omvat ook toegang tot de Giralda Tower. Toegangskaarten zijn vooraf geregeld om de wachtrij bij de kassa te vermijden. Deze tour wordt alleen in het Engels uitgevoerd en alle deelnemers moeten het originele ID of paspoort meenemen dat tijdens het boeken is gebruikt. De vergadertijd kan enigszins variëren (maximaal 15 minuten).

We ontmoeten elkaar in het monumentale gedeelte van Sevilla in de omgeving van de kathedraal. Nadat we elkaar hebben leren kennen, betreden we het monument vanuit de fast-track wachtrij. We bezoeken enkele kapellen en stoppen op de meest iconische plaatsen, zoals het hoofdaltaar, het koor, de doopkapel, het graf van Colombus en de sacristie. Het eerste deel dat we zullen zien is de binnenplaats van de vorige moskee en we zullen ontdekken hoe vroegere beschavingen invloed hebben gehad op de stad die we tegenwoordig hebben. Van daaruit gaan we de gotische tempel binnen, de grootste kathedraal ter wereld, een enorm gebouw uit de 14e eeuw.

Antonio was passionate, very knowledgeable and exhaustive. His hand-selected sites within the cathedral were wonderful. It was an entertaining and satisfying tour. My advice: don’t book the Alcazar with the cathedral. Soak in each site separately.
