Deze privétour is 100% aanpasbaar. • Met uw tweetalige gids kunt u 3 kastelen of 2 kastelen bezoeken + lokale wijnproeverij in een familiekelder • Voor het eerste kasteel raden we het iconische kasteel van Chenonceau aan, gebouwd aan de rivier, een van de meest verbluffende voorbeelden van architectuur in de Loire-vallei. • Bewonder vervolgens het meest indrukwekkende en grootste kasteel van de Loire-vallei: Château de Chambord, gebouwd in opdracht van koning François I en met trappen ontworpen door Leonardo Da Vinci. - Als u besluit om de wijnproeverij niet te doen, kunt u een derde kasteel zien, zoals Chateau de Cheverny, dat Hergé inspireerde om zijn stripfiguur Kuifje te creëren. Of u nu met z'n tweeën, een groep vrienden of met uw uitgebreide familie bent, u zult genieten van een uniek bezoek vol interessante anekdotes en geweldige kunstwerken. (Je gids is ook een professional in het uitleggen van kunst en geschiedenis aan kinderen – gezinnen van alle leeftijden zijn welkom!)

Om 7.30 uur haalt onze chauffeur-gids u op bij uw hotel of waar dan ook in Parijs met een voertuig met airconditioning van hoge kwaliteit, tot de eerste stop duurt ongeveer 3 uur rijden.
Bezoek het iconische kasteel van Chenonceau met uw lokale gids, een van de meest verbluffende voorbeelden van architectuur in de Loire-vallei, met zijn immense galerij die de breedte van de rivier de Cher overspant, waardoor het de bijnaam krijgt van de 'Ponte Vecchio van Frankrijk'. Bijgenaamd het Château des Dames - het dameskasteel - was het achtereenvolgens eigendom van vele vrouwen met macht en invloed, waaronder Diane de Poitiers en Caterina de 'Medici. • In het kasteel ontdekken we de ongelooflijke verzameling meesterwerken (Reubens, Van Dyck, Corregio...), de koninklijke slaapkamers, salons voor koning François I en koning Lodewijk XIV, de kapel en natuurlijk de galerij ontworpen door Caterina de'Medici.
• Na ons bezoek aan het kasteel ontmoeten we een lokale wijnmaker en hebben we een privéproeverij in zijn wijnmakerij in de buurt van Chenonceau. Rijden van Chateau de Chenonceau naar Ange duurt 20 minuten.
Ontdek het kasteel dat Hergé inspireerde tot het creëren van zijn stripfiguur Kuifje. De eigenaren wonen in de rechtervleugel van het kasteel, en er staan eeuwenoude bomen in het prachtige park en een omheining waar u de roedel jachthonden van de kasteeleigenaar kunt zien.
• Het sprookjesachtige Château de Chambord is het grootste van alle kastelen in de Loirevallei en ligt diep in het grootste gesloten, bosrijke park van Europa. In opdracht van koning François I is Chambord het hoogtepunt van renaissancearchitectuur en vindingrijkheid. • We zullen speciale aandacht besteden aan het innovatieve ontwerp - van de dubbele wenteltrap van Leonardo da Vinci in het hart van het kasteel, tot de blauwdruk van het kasteel in de vorm van een kruis, tot de koninklijke vertrekken en ongelooflijke tuinen. We nemen de tijd om dit revolutionaire kasteel te ontdekken. De rit van Ange naar Chateau de Chambord duurt ongeveer 50 minuten en terug naar het hotel duurt het 3 uur. Onderweg zie je ook het prachtige landschap en doorkruis je typisch Franse dorpjes.
Aan het einde van de dag brengen we je terug naar je hotel of een locatie naar keuze in Parijs

A 5 Star Experience. BACKGROUND. A week before we toured the Loire Valley with FINDING FRANCE/Clement Decre, Brenda and I learned that Air France had a nonstop flight from Phoenix to Paris. So we grabbed two tickets for the next day (November 30), landed in Paris (December 1) and took the train to Strasbourg (Capitale de Noel) for the Christmas Markets for a few days (if you find yourself in France in December, Strasbourg is a must visit); then we returned to Paris. FINDING FRANCE. Brenda and I have been to Paris so many times over the years that we were stymied what to do next as we had three days before our flight home. In conversation with the concierge at our hotel I asked about a private tour to the Loire Valley, and he recommended FINDING FRANCE -- which was the highlight of our brief time in France. Everything was perfect from the cleanliest of the limousine to the knowledge/professionalism of Clement as he guided us through the Chateau du Clos Luce, the Leonardo Di Vinci Park and Museum, the Chateau du Chenonceau and the Loire Valley. (As an aside, Clement showed us a small restaurant in Amboise, no tourists just locals, where we had the best ever ham and cheese sandwich!) THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING. This June 2025, after high school graduation and before our granddaughter starts college, we will be returning to France -- and we will be booking a tour with FINDING FRANCE. Brenda and I cannot think of better way to introduce our granddaughter to France than a tour with FINDING FRANCE. As I earlier said, it is a "5 Star Experience."
