Verken het historische Kruja-kasteel, een van de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden van Albanië. Ontdek de grootste bazaar van het land, snuffel rond in lokaal handwerk en geniet van het uitkijkpunt op de Sari Salltik-berg.

In de ochtend haalt de Gids u op van Tirana en begint de reis richting de berg Sari Salltik. Geniet van de inzichten van de Gids en een schilderachtige rit langs een panoramische bergweg om deze heilige plaats te bezoeken, die grote betekenis heeft in het Bektashi-geloof. Gelegen op 1.176 meter boven de zeespiegel, biedt het grotheiligdom een adembenemend uitzicht op het omliggende landschap.
Na een bezoek aan Sari Salltik gaat u verder naar de historische stad Kruja, waar de begeleide wandeltocht begint bij de Oude Bazaar – een van de oudste en grootste in Albanië, gevuld met traditionele souvenirs en handwerk. De Gids geeft uitleg tijdens de wandeling, terwijl er later vrije tijd beschikbaar is om te winkelen.
Ga vervolgens naar binnen in het Kruja-kasteel, wandel door de oude muren en leer over de geschiedenis ervan. Van buitenaf laat de Gids je kennismaken met het Skanderbeg Museum, gewijd aan de nationale held van Albanië, evenals het Etnografisch Museum, het Turkse Bad, de Skanderbeg-olijfboom en de geheime ingang van het kasteel.
Vrije tijd / lunch Na het genieten van de cultuur en geschiedenis, geniet u van uw vrije tijd om de oude Bazaar te verkennen, foto's te maken, de musea te bezoeken of in uw eigen tempo te lunchen. BELANGRIJK : In het laagseizoen november - mei kunnen de meeste musea op maandag gesloten zijn.
In de middag keert u terug naar Tirana.
WEET VOORDAT U RESERVEERT : PICK UP : Zelfs met hotel pick-up, indien nodig gasten kunnen nodig hebben om 1-10 minuten lopen (langer voor hotels buiten stedelijke gebieden) naar het dichtstbijzijnde ontmoetingspunt dat wij aanbevelen. Dit is meestal te wijten aan bepaalde hotels zijn gelegen in smalle straatjes waar onze bussen niet gemakkelijk toegankelijk BELANGRIJK : Je ontvangt de definitieve tour details via e-mail en WhatsApp de avond voor de tour. De ophaaltijden kunnen enigszins veranderen, afhankelijk van het schema, dus het is erg belangrijk om ons bericht te controleren. MOBIELE DATA ROAMING : Op de tourdag verloopt alle communicatie via WhatsApp, dus zorg ervoor dat je telefoonnummer is gekoppeld aan WhatsApp en dat mobiele data/roaming is ingeschakeld. I had a fantastic day visiting Kruja Castle and the Sarisalltik site — a truly memorable experience from start to finish. Our guide Arber was a cool guy: relaxed, welcoming, and effortlessly organised. The WhatsApp group he set up beforehand was a real bonus — clear tips, timely updates, and helpful reminders made meeting up and planning transport straightforward and stress-free. Arber brought the history to life with sharp facts and charming anecdotes, and his sense of humour kept everyone engaged throughout the walk. The castle’s dramatic views and the atmospheric Old Bazaar were real highlights, and Arber pointed out local details you’d otherwise miss. Practical details were handled smoothly, the pace was comfortable, and the group vibe was relaxed and enjoyable. If you’re heading to Kruja and thinking about the Sarisalltik tour, I’d highly recommend going with Arber — great communication, brilliant guiding, and a genuinely enjoyable day out.
Great tour! Two nice places, scenic views and great organisation. The tourguide (Lola) kept us entertained and informed the whole day, everything was on time and we received all the needed information and enough time for everything.

I enjoyed this small-ish group tour that went from Tirana to Kruja. Our first stop, high in the mountains, was at the Bektashi temple, a cave in the mountain. It was nice and cool up there and had a great view. Then we went to Kruja Castle, where there is a nice museum. The Old Bazaar was a lot of fun to walk through.
I loved this trip and would definitely recommend it. However, if you are adverse to very steep edged, twisty roads wuth lots of hairpin bends it may not be for you. We had an excellent driver but I was very nervous on the way up. The view from the top was well worth it though and we were given lots of detailed information from our Guide, Adela. We then had a superb drive back down the mountain and had the perfect amount of time at Kruja, a lovely place with lots of eateries and local shops selling many souvenirs along the very narrow, cobbled streets. We hit Tirana during rush hour on return!
I received a WhatsApp the previous evening welcoming me to the trip, and giving me information on pick up location and times. Made me feel very confident about the tour quality and to be honest, it was great. Arber was our guide, it was a full mini bus and we were on our way. Kruja is a picture postcard location and not too far from Tirana if you don't want to spend all day travelling. As well as the most beautiful bazaar, there are a couple of museums (not included in the price) and many places to eat, drink or just enjoy the view. Unfortunately the shrine was not available due to a local event closing the area which really was a shame, but not Arber's problem; he did find a solution which was another castle. This one was not as picture perfect but the views were outstanding. The day was punctuated with Arber's knowledge of the area and country's history. The day ended with a smooth drop off and after care messages of local recommendations to experience.

We had a fabulous time and this tour. Marianna was friendly and very knowledgeable. The tour was well paced- the castle was interesting and townspeople were great! The man who should us the musical instruments and sold silver was very kind and beautiful jewelry. 12/10!!

The "artisan" market with a lot of made in China products, fortunately not just that, also some beautiful items. A seller kicked me out of his store because I was taking his picture. Break and free time at 2 PM, time to finally eat at the restaurant, the free time had elapsed, I did not have time to visit.
