In de rustige buitenwijk Karen in Nairobi biedt het Karen Blixen Museum een nostalgische stap terug in de wereld van de Out of Africa-auteur, waar u een rondleiding krijgt door haar prachtig bewaard gebleven boerderij uit 1912 om originele meubels, haar schrijfmachine en zelfs rekwisieten uit de Oscarwinnende film te zien. Buiten kunt u dwalen door uitgestrekte, verzorgde tuinen met een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht op de Ngong Hills, een collectie vintage elektrische gereedschappen en koffiemachines uit de jaren 1920 verkennen en het natuurpad bewandelen om lokale vogelleven en boomhyraxen te spotten. Great experience. Watch the movie Out of Africa and read Karen Blixen autobiography. Also eat at her restaurant . The buffet is outstanding. The environment is so relaxing and peaceful.
I had a great experience with Denis, we saw the giraffes, Karen Bixen and a cultural show. He is very knowledgeable on local and tourist spots, best for anyone who wants a holistic experience of Kenya. He provided fair prices for the experiences and transportation which made it easy to get around. This experience was worth it, we had a good amount of time to see everything,I would recommend. My friend and I had a great time!
We went to giraffe center and loved the experience, the giraffes can be fed by visitors and the newly bred giraffes will be released into the wild once old enough. We appreciated the hygenic standards for the animals regarding hand washing before feeding. Touching of the animals was not allowed except for the tongue. :) we had a very nice lady from the center who took videos and pictures of us and gave us a small tour trough the facility, free of charge. Denish, our tour guide, explained how the gitaffes are transported into the wild. We would recommend this experience!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Denish is the absolute best guide. He is friendly, knowledgeable and knows the perfect spots to take you for the best photos and authentic experiences. He even had a surprise at the end with native African dances which was the highlight of my trip. We even got to participate in the dances, and the people were wonderful.
