6:30 uur ontmoet de groep op het aangewezen ontmoetingspunt of een pick-up van uw hotel in het centrum van de stad. Ga dan rechtstreeks naar de provincie Kanchanaburi. 10.00 uur Verken de oorlogsbegraafplaats van Kanchanaburi. Chungkai was een van de basiskampen aan de Birma-Siam spoorlijn en bevatte een ziekenhuis en kerk gebouwd door geallieerde krijgsgevangenen. De oorlogsbegraafplaats is de oorspronkelijke begraafplaats begonnen door de gevangenen zelf, en de begrafenissen zijn meestal van mannen die stierven in het ziekenhuis. Op deze begraafplaats liggen nu 1.426 begraafplaatsen van het Gemenebest en 313 Nederlandse begraafplaatsen uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog. (Totale tijd inclusief reizen van Bangkok naar Kanchanburi)
Bezoek het Jeath oorlogsmuseum. De naam JEATH is afgeleid van landen die tussen 1942 en 1945 betrokken waren bij de aanleg van de dodenspoorlijn uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog: Japan, Engeland, Amerika, Australië, Thailand en Nederland. En zoals de naam al doet vermoeden, toont dit kleine museum foto's en illustraties die de levensomstandigheden van krijgsgevangenen (POW's) tijdens die wrede tijd vertellen, waarvan sommige werden geschonken door voormalige krijgsgevangenen die het overleefden.
Aangekomen bij River Kwai Bridge Kanchanaburi, De beroemde brug Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog legde Japan de meterspoorlijn aan van Ban Pong, Thailand naar Thanbyuzayat, Birma. Dit staat nu bekend als de Death Railway. Ervaring neem een trein van River Kwai brug naar Kasae Cave.
Aankomst bij Krasae Cave, een historische plek waar krijgsgevangenen ooit rustten, gelegen langs de Death Railway. Tegenwoordig is het een populaire bestemming waar bezoekers langs de spoorweg kunnen wandelen en pauzeren om respect te tonen aan het Boeddhabeeld dat in de grot is verankerd.
Geniet van een heerlijke lunch in JR Tham Krasae Restaurant. Met een buffet Thais eten met een goed panorama uitzicht op de rivier. Na de lunch keren we terug naar Bangkok in een comfortabel voertuig met airconditioning. Terugkeer naar uw hotel rond 17.30 uur (Totale tijd inbegrepen Reizen van Kanchanaburi naar Bangkok)

This experience has been a highlight of my travels . Super comfortable with a private car , the guide Jimmy had an incredible amount of knowledge was friendly with a great science of humour. Our driver Pratheep was very experienced and courteous and we felt incredibly safe in our travels . The tour was full of history and beauty and was incredibly touching. I really appreciate every bit of the experience. The waterfalls were a great way to finish with. Do your self a favour and take the opportunity to do this tour.

It was an interesting experience to get out of Bangkok and see some of the Thai countryside. The lunch was pretty good for these kind of excursions with decent food and a beautiful view. Our guide Mam was extremely nice and helpful although we could not understand all she said.
Be prepared for the long hot day. As a planned group of 7, we were surprised to collect another couple. Very knowledgeable guide, with courteous driver. Parts of the road journey aittle hairy, some very crazy driving goes on. The tour it's self very sobering and thought provoking, but glad we did it. Amazing scenery.

Very interesting program of the day. We enjoyed visiting the Kwai River Bridge, the cave and the train tour. Everything was colorful. However, big downside: our guide, whose name is unknown since he did not show up, gave us very little information as much about the course of the day as about the history of this place. Moreover, he did not stop talking loudly all along the way without addressing us.
Everything was great about this trip. From hotel pick up to drop. Loved the overall planning, places they took us, the food they served, the tour guide, the train trip, the boat ride, the walk in the bridge, etc etc.
