Geniet van een schilderachtige rit door het Griekse platteland, langs schilderachtige landschappen en olijfgaarden. Stop eerst bij het prachtige kanaal van Korinthe dat de Egeïsche Zee met de Golf van Korinthe verenigt. Direct daarna komen we aan bij de archeologische vindplaats van het oude Mycene. Mycene heeft millennia doorstaan op de rotsachtige heuvel met uitzicht op de Argolische Golf. Je begint je ontdekkingstocht met de bijzondere Cyclopean muren. Wandel door de Leeuwenpoort en ontdek de beroemde tholos-graftombe die bekend staat als de 'Schat van Atreus', waarvan wordt aangenomen dat het de begraafplaats van koning Agamemnon is. Ga naar het Archeologisch Museum van het Oude Mycene om een collectie artefacten en schatten te bekijken die uit de site zijn opgegraven. Ga verder voor de lunch en maak uw reis compleet in Nafplion, een pittoresk kustplaatsje dat bekend staat om zijn historische betekenis en charmante sfeer. Wandel door de smalle straatjes van de oude binnenstad van Nafplion en ontdek de Venetiaanse en Ottomaanse invloeden.

Het Kanaal van Korinthe is een kunstmatig kanaal in Griekenland dat de Golf van Korinthe in de Ionische Zee verbindt met de Saronische Golf in de Egeïsche Zee. Het snijdt door de smalle landengte van Korinthe en scheidt de Peloponnesos van het Griekse vasteland, waardoor het schiereiland een eiland wordt.
Stap in het hart van de Homerische legende terwijl je het oude Mycene verkent, de stad die ooit door Agamemnon werd geregeerd. Bewonder het weidse uitzicht op de bergen en de enorme Cyclopeïsche muren, wandel door de iconische Leeuwenpoort en ontdek de grote 'Schat van Atreus', een tholos-graf van adembenemende omvang. We had a great experience with Bernie! We got a lot of historical context to the ruins while also being told in a story-esque way. It was a great day trip & we loved ending the trip in Nafplio! Would definitely recommend, especially to escape the bustling city of Athens to a more relaxed, less crowded space!

The tour guide did not speak good English and it was very hard to understand also the last city where it stopped for lunch they didn’t give us enough time there. Also this tour when advertised it leads you to believe that the Corinth Canal will be crossed on a boat and that is not the case. Very misleading

This was an outstanding day, and Mr. Georgio was exceptional! He was full of so much information and answered our hundreds of questions. As with most tours it is all about the guide. Sophia was excellent. Informative and knowledgeable. Only downside is would say maybe a little too much free time in Nafplion.

Quite ok for ancient corinth , but love the small beautiful town at Naplio..especially the castle above the top...was really beautiful
