Beschrijving

A bit chaotic but interesting

Despite reservation we had to wait 1 hour. Camel guide a bit wobbly but still good. Not very well organized. We would not go there again but it is recommended.

Cute camellioids

New experience for me and my girlfriend, and I must say that overall it was positive, the camels are very quiet, we petted them more than once and they did not seem very quiet, the guides kind and nice, I expected a walk in the dunes, but it is a predetermined route, otherwise everything is ok 👍🏻😁

Camel Ride

It was a nice way to get some good pictures of the dunes. It’s slow paced, a calm activity to do. Nothing spectacular, but something to do with

Good experience to go with children

Better go early for the heat, and not carry things because you'll have to carry them. Bottle of water although there is machine to buy it and they are not expensive.

Not worth it

We arrived at 09:30 and queued for an hour to get to the front of the queue only then to be told we had to wait another hour for our ride. When the ride finally came, the 'guide' leading the camels spent the entire time on his phone whilst we were walked at an unbearably slow pace. It would have been much better to have had some information about the camels and the dunes. The staff were friendly and facilities clean. Whilst the camels do seem well cared for, they are wearing metal muzzles which dont look great at all. Overall I would say this is not at all worth it.

So disappointing! Masoalomas dunes are beautiful but the trek is through the scrub land in a long and very slow chain of sad loo

Very disappointing! The trek wasn't the kind of experience we were expecting. Maspalomas dunes are beautiful but this was in the scrub land with no dunes to be seen, using a long chain of very sad looking camels unfortunately.

Too Waiting Time, For What Is

The experience was very disappointing. We had to wait a very long time under a blazing sun, with more than 40 degrees, without a single fan to relieve the heat. Just a water machine, which admitted one euro coins. Conditions were unfortunate, especially for older people or with young children. In addition, when booking we were given neither an estimated time nor clear information about waiting times. The organization leaves much to be desired. We would not repeat and, honestly, we do not recommend it if you value your time and well-being

Camel ride and disorganization in line

An interesting tour by the fact of riding a camel, is a pleasant ride of about 30 minutes, little more... people are friendly, but the entrance is a little chaos, the order of arrival is not respected, we were treated openly and the one who first passes the gate, even if it sneaks, nothing happens to them does not care, that must improve it, certainly with me they do not count for another and I do not recommend it

Very nice

All very nice, the animals are treated well and the guides are very good. only thing that should be specified are Dromedaries and not Camels

Animal cruelty & money making!

Myself and partner were told great things about the camel rides over the dunes, so we walked up and the scenery looked amazing. We arrived at what was a small facility, and booked a ticket (prior to seeing any camels). We waited and saw the first group of camels come back, they looked exhausted. They had awful cages over their faces and some pushed against their noses. Their fur didn’t look clean either. They were not given anything to drink whilst on their ‘break’ before the next group and would just be laid down chained together by rope in between tours. When it was our turn on the camels we sat down and in order to make the camels stand the staff would yank at the rope attached to their heads or smack them. The camels would slowly stand whilst grunting, seemingly unsteady on their feet. We were at the back of our tour and on the back legs of the camel in front, it had scars all over it, from a whip. This is what got us going and since then it was such a downer. Poor things. The ride itself wasn’t too bad. More of a walk through a sandy public footpath rather than the dunes itself. I would not pay into this kind of animal cruelty again.
