Onze tour wordt volledig georganiseerd en uitgevoerd door lokale Japanse experts. Stap in een wereld waar samoerai ooit liepen en tempels verhalen fluisteren over eeuwen geleden. Onze tour dompelt je onder in het hart van Japan, waar geschiedenis, spiritualiteit en natuur in perfecte harmonie bestaan. Bezoek de Grote Boeddha en wandel door de serene tuin van de Hasedera-tempel, waar seizoensbloemen bloeien en bezoekers het hele jaar door boeien. In de middag kunt u de zeewind voelen op het eiland Enosima, doordrenkt van legendes en bezaaid met verborgen heiligdommen. Yokohama, met zijn samensmelting van oosterse en oosterse culturen, biedt een boeiend contrast met Kamakura. Verken de hoogtepunten, waaronder de panoramische Landmark Tower, Redbrick Warehouse en Cup Noodle Museum, enz.

Het is een gigantisch bronzen standbeeld van Amida Buddha (13,5m, 44 ft.) In de open lucht. Het is de enige nationale schat in Kamakura. Je kunt maar 20 yen binnen in het lichaam binnentreden. (toegangsprijs 200 yen per persoon.)
Beoordeeld met 3 sterren in de reisgids van Michelin. De tempel staat bekend om het mooiste bamboebos van Kamakura. Je kunt genieten van matcha groene thee en Japanse zoetigheid in een theehuis met uitzicht op het bamboebos. (toegangsprijs 600 yen per pers. inclusief matcha en zoet) (20 tot 60 minuten)
Het staat bekend als een bloementempel. Je kunt in de lente genieten van kersenbloesem, van eind mei tot eind juni van hortensia's en in de herfst van esdoornbladeren. Het is ook beroemd om het 9,18 meter hoge vergulde houten elfkoppige beeld van Kannon, de godin van de genade. (toegangsprijs 400 yen per pers.) (30 tot 60 minuten)
Dit Shinto-heiligdom is gewijd aan de god van de oorlog en de god van de samoerai in het algemeen. Het is een populaire locatie voor bruiloften en is vooral mooi tijdens het kersenbloesem- of azaleaseizoen. (30 tot 60 minuten)
Het is een lange winkelstraat vlakbij het Tsurugaoka Hahchimangu-heiligdom. De straat staat vol met talloze restaurants, cafés en winkels. Enkele populaire souvenirs zijn gesneden lakwerk (Kamakura-bori), duifvormige koekjes (Toshimaya Hato sable) en bonensnacks (Kamakura mameya). (20 tot 80 minuten)
Het is de oudste en hoogste zen-tempel in Kamakura. Het biedt meditatiebeoefening op bepaalde data. Zen-t-shirts worden hier verkocht. (toegangsprijs 500 yen per persoon)
Het is de tweede belangrijke zen-tempel in Kamakura, beroemd om zijn grote tempelpoort en bel. Je kunt het graf van de beroemde filmregisseur Yasujiro Ozu hier vinden. Er is een café in het tempelcomplex waar u op bepaalde data kunt genieten van lunch, Japanse zoetigheden en matcha groene thee en andere drankjes. (toegangsprijs 300 yen per persoon)
Het is beroemd van blauwe hortensia's van eind mei tot eind juni. Veel mensen staan in de rij om een foto te maken van het ronde raam in de grote hal dat het landschap van de tuin erachter omlijst. (toegangsprijs 500 yen per persoon)
Shinto-schrijn waar wordt aangenomen dat het inkomen toeneemt door cahs te wassen met zijn wijwater.
Dit rustige tempeltje diende als onderkomen voor vrouwen die het slachtoffer waren van mishandeling door hun echtgenoten en een echtscheiding zochten in een tijd waarin alleen mannen om een echtscheiding mochten vragen. Bezoekers kunnen het hele jaar door genieten van bloemen, zoals pruimen in het vroege voorjaar, iris en klimhortensia in juni, in tuinen die zich uitstrekken tot aan de beboste heuvels. (toegangsprijs 200 yen per pers.)
Deze fotogenieke spoorwegovergang met de prachtige blauwe zee op de achtergrond werd gebruikt in de openingsscène van een beroemde Japanse anime “Slam Dunk”. Een korte fotostop is mogelijk.
Minato Mirai 21 is een stedelijk gebied aan de kust in het centrum van Yokohama. Enkele belangrijke bezienswaardigheden zijn de Landmark Tower (het op één na hoogste gebouw in Japan), het pretpark Cosmo World en het winkelcentrum Red Brick Warehouses. (30 tot 60 minuten)
Het is een traditionele en typisch Japanse tuin, ontworpen door een rijke zakenman. 17 kostbare gebouwen, overgebracht uit Kyoto en andere plaatsen, zijn vakkundig gerangschikt om bij de schoonheid van de tuin te passen. (toegangsprijs 700 yen per pers.) (30 tot 90 minuten)
Er zijn diverse bezienswaardigheden zoals een heiligdom, aquarium, botanische tuin, uitkijktoren en grotten. Als het weer het toelaat, is de berg Fuji vanaf verschillende plaatsen te bekijken. (30 tot 150 minuten)
Geniet van het panoramische uitzicht op de baai van Yokohama en de baai van Tokio vanaf een hoogte van 273m (900f). Je kunt ook een goed beeld krijgen van Mt. Fuji op een heldere dag. (toegangsprijs 1000 yen per pers.)
Als je zin hebt om met een kopje koffie in de hand door een park te wandelen, dan is Yamashita Park ideaal, omdat het geliefd is bij de lokale bevolking om te komen ontspannen. Straatartiesten zijn hier om het weekend te vermaken. Op aanvraag is een fotostop mogelijk
Je kunt een heel mooi uitzicht krijgen op het Yokohama Minato Mirai-gebied
Nog een schilderachtig uitkijkpunt en herkenningspunt van de baai van Yokohama met zijn Engelse tuin. Het ligt naast de woonwijken van de westerse bevolking toen Yokohama opende als een van de belangrijke internationale havens aan het einde van het Tokugawa-shogunaat.
Als je Chinees eten wilt proberen terwijl je in Japan bent of een ander gevoel wilt hebben, de grootste Chinatown van Japan ligt in Yokohama. Op verzoek is het mogelijk om een stop te maken of te lunchen.
Gerund door Nisshin, het allereerste bedrijf dat Cup-noedels uitvond. Je kunt meer te weten komen over het verhaal van de instantnoedel, je originele noedels topping en maken, verschillende smaken van noedels over de hele wereld proberen en een aantal originele souvenirs kopen die alleen op deze unieke plek te vinden zijn. Als je een ramenliefhebber bent, is het Shinyokohama ramen-museum een plek waar je naartoe moet. Je kunt op één plaats genieten van 8 verschillende soorten ramen (toegangsprijs 310 yen per persoon).

We were lucky enough to spend an exceptional day with Motoko and Toshi. Very professional, they were attentive to our group's expectations and adapted so that we would have the best day. Motoko speaks French extremely well and shares with us all her knowledge about the sites visited and about Japan in general. Toshi is very, very attentive to everyone's well-being and knows which places will please each person the most, what the best times are to visit each site. A very big thank you to them!

Our trip to Kamakura was excellent! Our guide , Emiko and our driver Tac were very knowledgeable with the history of Tokyo. The Cup of Noodles factory was a lot of fun! Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine and great Buddha were beautiful and an amazing experience. Emiko took us to chopstick stall where we bought beautiful chopsticks and had them engraved. Thank you Emiko and Tac for a memorable experience.

We had a wonderful time visiting Kamakura. Our tour guide, Toshi, was exceptionally well-organized and knowledgeable, and he made the entire experience truly memorable. We visited Hokokuji Temple and its beautiful Bamboo Garden, where we enjoyed an authentic green tea experience right in the heart of the garden.

Ayaka our guide was excellent - she was in touch with me several days before our trip to agree the stops we would make that would interest us and give me approximate timings. This is so helpful when travelling with 2 teenagers who have limited attention span sometimes! We enjoyed stopping at the Kamakura Buddah and several shrines, particularly the Zen temple with the bamboo trees which was great for photos. Enoshima Island was gorgeous and we were lucky to eat in one of the restaurants right at the top with pacific ocean views. Komachi street was great for shopping and snacks. Lastly we stopped at the cup noodle museum and made our own cup noodles to take home where you can design your own packaging and pick your own flavours. Ayaka was very engaging when we were driving as well telling us about her life and Japan and also taking an interest in our lives. Our teenagers thought she was the best guide we have had all holiday which is high praise (and I agree with them!). The driver was also very polite and efficient which we appreciated. Highly recommended tour to mix a bit of history, culture and modern day Japan.

My husband and I were picked up from our hotel by our driver, Tak, and our tour guide, Yuko. We were worried that the rain would cancel the tour, but we're presently surprised that the rain helped make the tour even more special. Our first stop in Kamakura, the Kotokuin Great Buddha, we had the location all to ourselves. So beautiful 😍 The Hasedra Temple we learned about the Jizo amongst the beautiful gardens. At the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, we learned about the Samurai history of Japan. We had lunch at a Cafe called Muji Cafe which had incredible Calm Chowder and Japanese beer. Then we went to the Hokokuji Temple with an amazing bamboo zen garden which served homemade matcha, so peaceful and serene. We ended our tour with a trip to the Ramen Museum. Yuko was the best tour guide. She was very professional and so informative. This was definitely our favorite tour in Japan well worth the money ❤️

We had a wonderful day from start to finish and highly recommend Shun as a guide and his driver Corby to visit Kamakura and Enoshima. Having been to Kyoto, Kamakura with its beautiful shrines and temples and gardens with gorgeous flowers was a wonderful surprise so close to Tokyo. We learnt so much and saw so many beautiful places at a pleasant pace and very efficiently. June is especially a great month for the hydrangeas! It gets quite crowded so definitely go with a guide/driver and start early in peak season.

This tour was simply exceptional, particularly for those more comfortable with an English-speaking guide and first-timers to Kamakura. Our licensed guide, Motoko, and our driver, Tak, were both top notch: very friendly, knowledgeable, and most professional in every way. Despite an unexpected typhoon on the original date of our tour, Motoko kept in constant contact with us to pick the best alternate day; and she and Tak then made sure that we didn’t miss any of the sights and were kept safe on the roads. Mazda san was an extremely patient and detailed guide. He was very considerate of the mobility issues of my elderly parents and made sure that they were comfortable throughout the long day. We managed to see so many sights and were thoroughly informed and entertained by Mazda san’s excellent guiding and good humour.
