Kajak Titicaca en gastgezin Uros

Beschrijving

We had a wonderful afternoon and would highly recommend this tour to everyone! Everything went exactly as we had agreed upon months in advance (perfectly organized, including pickup and drop-off at the bus station). The entire staff was very professional and accommodating! Since we weren’t able to take our own photos, the tour guide, sent us his photos from that day via WhatsApp. Thank you so much—we’d love to come back!
Everything about this experience was perfect and we absolutely loved Ronny and his family. It was one of the highlights of our Peru trip. There are often mixed reviews about Lake Titicaca experiences- I would be at a loss as to how this experience wouldn't leave lasting impression on the hearts of those who experienced it. Part of what I believe set this homestay a part, was that we stayed right on a small reed island, with one family. No other families and no groups of other tourists or large islands with stores or restaurants, etc. Just the 8 of us on this very small reed island. Also, because we kayaked in, rather than taking a boat. That was really fun and so nice to do it in a way that many others miss out on. We were submerged in the culture of this family and greeted with smiles and joy. They were so sweet and kind. There were 8 of us and we all felt the same way. It was basic yes, but that is exactly what we wanted. We weren't looking for or expecting fluff. We wanted an authentic experience and thats what we got. Our lodging was simple, but very clean and great views. The hot water bottles at night in bed were a great addition and we all stayed toasty warm despite the outside temperatures. We loved dancing and laughing by the fire and the local Peruvian musicians that came and played for us. Though not required we of course tipped them generously and it was worth every penny. They were so talented. I think people forget that these families work hard and live life in a way that most of us could never handle. So yes, they want us to see that and experience it. I don't think it's an act. At least not without family we chose. This is the way they live life day in and day out and we got to take part in that and we will forever hold that in our hearts.
wow!!!!!we are a family of 6 people and we booked a kayak tour + sleep in a local house on the uros island, we started this tour at 12:00 pm in a kayak until we reached our local house and it took us 1 hour to arrive, our kayak experience was excellent and we slept in a local house It was wonderful, our hostess Rocio made us feel at home and taught us her customs such as: weaving her crafts, teaching us how to fish and ride a local boat. Highly recommended.
We were looking to sleep on the uros island and we found Ronny, who organized the kayak tour for us plus sleeping on the Uros islands, the attention of our host Ronald was very friendly and the rooms were clean, and we practiced their daily customs together with them, recommended For people who want to learn more about their cultures, it's worth the sleep. 100% recommended to TITICACA WORLDWIDE.
We booked a private kayak tour and spent the night on the uros island, it was an unforgettable experience, I thank our hostess Maria and her daughter Rocio, recommended.
We had a great time, time was limited and Ronal was very flexible to fit our schedule. Getting to meet the family on the island gave a great view of what life is like there and showed their history and culture.
