We had an absolutely wonderful experience on the Amsterdam Wine & Cheese Cruise. The setting was beautiful, the wine and cheese selection was excellent, and the whole experience was relaxed and enjoyable from start to finish. A special shout out to our guide, Emily, who truly made the trip memorable. She was incredibly knowledgeable about Amsterdam, its history, and the sights we passed along the canals. What really stood out was how personable and engaging she was. Emily created a welcoming atmosphere, happily answered questions, and shared interesting stories that brought the city to life. Her enthusiasm and passion for what she does were evident throughout the cruise. If you're looking for a unique way to experience Amsterdam, I highly recommend this cruise. And if you're lucky enough to have Emily as your guide, you're in for a fantastic experience! ⭐ 10/10 experience. Would definitely do it again.

REGULIERSGRACHT (7 BRUGGEN): monumentaal zicht - Het enige punt in de Amsterdamse grachten waar je zeven bruggen achter elkaar in één zicht kunt zien
Prinsengracht
Vergeleken met de andere grachten is de Prinsengracht een relatief bescheiden gracht. Terwijl de Herengracht werd gebouwd en ontworpen voor de Amsterdamse hogere klasse, werd de Prinsengracht ontworpen als een overgangsgracht tussen de rijke grachtengordel en de arbeiderswijken (Jordaan) eromheen. Dat zie je ook terug in de huizen aan de Prinsengracht, die in vergelijking met de andere grachten veel ‘soberder’ zijn: minder breed en met minder versieringen dan aan de andere grachten.
Magere Brug
MAGERE BRUG ‘SKINNY BRIDGE’ is de oudste nog werkende, deels houten, ophaalbrug van Amsterdam en een Rijksmonument. De Magere Brug werd gebouwd in de 17e eeuw. Het stadsbestuur zat destijds wat krap bij kas en besloot geen exorbitante brug te bouwen, maar een goedkope (hout in plaats van steen) en smalle ('magere') brug. De brug was zo smal dat mensen elkaar nauwelijks konden passeren, of dat ze heel mager moesten zijn. De huidige brug dateert uit 1934. Sinds 2003 mag er geen autoverkeer meer over. De Magere Brug is de beroemdste brug van Amsterdam en het decor voor veel films (waaronder James Bond).
H'ART Museum
HERMITAGE MUSEUM is gevestigd in de Amstelhof. Het gebouw dateert uit 1681 en was oorspronkelijk (300 jaar lang) een verpleeghuis. In 2007 werd het verpleeghuis omgebouwd tot museum. Sommige kamers werden onderhouden en gerestaureerd. Het Hermitage-museum is een bijgebouw van de Hermitage in Sint-Petersburg, Rusland, en deelt een deel van de kunstcollectie met die in Rusland. Samen bezitten de twee Hermitages de grootste kunstcollectie ter wereld.
Blauwbrug
BLAUWBRUG ‘BLAUWE BRIDGE’ dankt zijn naam aan zijn voorganger: een ophaalbrug zoals de Magere Brug, maar dan met blauwe balustrades. De huidige Blauwbrug dateert uit 1883 en is geïnspireerd op de Pont Neuf in Parijs. Vanwege de Wereldtentoonstelling in Amsterdam in 1883 was een nieuwe brug met grootse uitstraling nodig. De kronen bovenop de brug zijn ‘keizerkronen’ en zijn dezelfde kronen als die op de Westerkerk en in het stadswapen. De kroon is de keizerskroon van het Heilige Roomse Rijk, geschonken door keizer Maximiliaan I in 1489 als dank voor de financiële steun van Amsterdam. De keizerskroon is het bewijs dat zelfs de grote keizer Amsterdam heeft aanbevolen, en daarom van groot belang voor de handel.

Very Nice way to see Amsterdam.
Really nice way to see Amsterdam. Nice cruise around the canals with nice wine and cheese to make it very relaxing (other drinks are available if you want) Guide was very good Boat was open air so make sure you have appropriate clothes for the day

On the day of your cruise, we deliberately operated the Cheese & Wine Cruise on one of our open boats because the weather forecast was excellent. Every booking was provided with its own private table, from which the cheese and wine were served throughout the cruise. Our open boats are configured differently from our salon boats, allowing guests to enjoy unobstructed views while still having their own dedicated table for the tasting experience. We also recognise that preferences differ. While many guests on board that day told our crew they had thoroughly enjoyed the experience, we fully respect that it did not meet your personal expectations. That said, we were disappointed to receive a 1-star review without having had the opportunity to address your concerns during the cruise. Best way to see Amsterdam. Especially at sunset. We were a little early and we were lucky. The girl told us some places to go and see very friendly people.

Awkward Experience
We booked this experience assuming the other passengers had booked the same. However, we were the only passengers on board having the wine and cheese, and everyone else was just staring at us. Some of the other passengers made a joke of it and even poured our wine for us, but it was just a very odd experience.

We felt we were booked on the wrong boat.
We had a bad experience from the start the put us on a small boat with a lot of people. We couldn’t hear the tour director. We were the only one served with wine and cheese since we booked that way. We felt very uncomfortable having that since no one was having. We thought we were going to be part of the group who had the same thing. We felt very uncomfortable having it. I am asking for a refund.
