Reis langs de beroemde “Beach Highway” van K’gari aan boord van een speciaal gebouwde 4WD-voertuig ontworpen voor comfort en avontuur. Vaar langs prachtige uitzichten op de oceaan, gekleurd zand en ruige kustlandschappen terwijl je Gids verhalen vertelt over 's werelds grootste zandeiland. Houd een oogje in het zeil voor inheemse dieren, waaronder dingo's en zeevogels, terwijl je langs dit iconische stuk kustlijn reist.
Stop bij het kristalheldere water van Eli Creek, de grootste zoetwaterbeek die op het oostelijke strand van K'gari stroomt. Waad door het koele stromende water of ontspan gewoon en geniet van de rustige natuurlijke omgeving van deze eilandfavoriet.
Bezoek het beroemde SS Maheno scheepswrak, een van de meest gefotografeerde bezienswaardigheden van K'gari. Kom alles te weten over de fascinerende geschiedenis van het schip en geniet van het dramatische landschap van het roestige wrak dat rust op het zand van 75 Mile Beach.
Op naar het prachtige zoetwatermeer McKenzie, waar je een uur kunt ontspannen, zwemmen en genieten van het landschap voordat je als groep in een authentieke Aussie-lunch in de buurt van het meer stapt.
Verken het historische Centraal Station, ooit het hart van de houtkapindustrie van K'gari, en ontdek de rijke regenwoudomgeving van het eiland. Wandel langs de rustige wateren van Wanggoolba Creek onder torenhoge satinay en borstel buxusbomen terwijl je leert over het unieke ecosysteem en de geschiedenis van het eiland. *Houd er rekening mee dat het Centraal Station en Wanggoolba Creek bezoeken afhankelijk zijn van het getijde.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
U ontvangt 7 dagen voor vertrek een incheckmail. Gebruik deze e-mail om uw ophaallocatie en eventuele dieetwensen te bevestigen. Ophalingen zijn tussen 5 : 25 en 5 : 45 uur van Noosa. Uw ophaaltijd wordt na boeking bevestigd. Je wordt opgehaald in een witte of donkergrijze minibus met Discovery K'gari branding. Zorg dat je 10 minuten voor je ophaaltijd aanwezig bent op de ophaallocatie.

We enjoyed an excellent day visiting K’Gari with Paul as our guide. The island has so many wonderful spots and views and Paul went out of his way to make our visit exceptional with his knowledge and experience. We enjoyed a walk in the rain forest, a swim in the lake, pictures on the beach, lunch, and even saw a Dingo.
Dan is the MAN! He is a wonderful tour guide - great driver, good with our 10 yr old kids, good sense of humor, and all around nice guy. Super friendly and knowledgeable. My kids loved him. K’Gari is beautiful and this was totally worth the money, from the driving experience to the scenery. We saw 3 wild dingos, got to catch some baby frogs while wading in Eli Creek, swam in the crystal clear water at the lake, take a short walk through the forest, and visit the shipwreck. All fun stuff! Bring your swim gear, float tubes for the creek if you want them, and Dramamine if you get car sick as it is a very bumpy ride.
This tour really exceeded my expectations. I chose this excursion by recommendation from a friend, so I didn't know what to expect as far as island tours go. The tour covered a lot of (very beautiful) ground in a super awesome 4WD bus. Experiencing a drive on the beach was an awesome highlight for me! The blue color that you see in the pictures? It's actually real. Rory was a fantastic guide and shared a lot of knowledge about the area. You could tell he really loves being out on the island, even though it's a regular occurrence for him. Logistically, the tour worked out well - everything went smoothly, except a slight mishap with the bus at the end. Rory kept a positive attitude and figured out a quick workaround that kept the tour on time and actually was an exciting diversion for everyone :D I definitely recommend Rory if you're looking to have a fun tour!
The experience was fantastic unfortunately the vehicle used did not allow the guide to interact effectively with the passengers and on more than one occasion the air conditioning was left off turning the back of the vehicle into a sauna.
Lovely day exploring the island. We were lucky to be in a 6 person vehicle so we could ask a lot of questions and learn a lot from our awesome guide Jess who had a lot of knowledge of the island, it's history and flora/fauna. We also had great track conditions so we were able to spend a good amount of time at the rainforest walk, Lake Mackenzie and Eli Creek. Lake Mackenzie would have to be the best fresh water that I've ever swam in. Enjoyed the lunch and afternoon tea that was provided. Driving along the beach and inland was a great experience. Can't recommend enough, was well worth the price.
they kept delaying it and eventually cancelled it after 4 hours. for 4 damn hrs we had been waiting at the bus stop. no updates, no emails, no anything, unless we contacted them first. we only learned it was cancelled bc we kept making a call to ask them
Top-Trip with Paul and Dan to Fraser. Though bumpy (4W) always felt safe due to experienced und funny DAN. Greetings from iceberg-Sue to Sandberg-Dan 😀
We went with K'gari Adventure tours and it was superb.The organisation and efficiency of the whole day,plus a very knowledgeable, funny and lovely driver/ guide made it an extremely worthwhile and memorable day.We picked up tour at Rainbow Beach.

Book this tour you will not be disappointed! Dan and Jess took us on our tour of K’Gari and it was such an amazing experience, they made the day an unforgettable one! Driving along the beach, swimming in Lake McKenzie and also getting lunch there it was incredible, we made our way to Eli Creek and the Maheno Ship Wreck which was incredible. This felt like once in a lifetime trip and Dan and Jess certainly made it feel like that.
