Als u op een korte zakenreis naar Oeganda bent en niet veel tijd kunt vrijmaken voor een safari, biedt onze 1-daagse Jinja-tour een perfecte ontsnapping uit Kampala om drie belangrijke locaties te verkennen. Beginnend na een vroeg ontbijt, rond 7.30 uur of later, vanuit Kampala of Entebbe om het verkeer te vermijden, voert onze reis je door schilderachtige thee- en suikerplantages, evenals levendige markten langs de weg vol met kleurrijke groenten en fruit. Onderweg bezoekt u drie bezienswaardigheden: de Sezibwa-watervallen, waar u zich kunt vergapen aan de natuurlijke schoonheid van het stromende water; maak een korte wandeling in het Mabira-woud en ervaar het weelderige groen en de gevarieerde fauna; en ten slotte ga je naar Jinja om getuige te zijn van de bron van de rivier de Nijl. Hier geniet je van een boottocht op de rivier de Nijl, met adembenemende uitzichten en een kans om de magie van Afrika's langste rivier uit de eerste hand te ervaren terwijl je je een weg baant naar de bron.

De Sezibwa-watervallen bevinden zich 32 km langs de snelweg Kampala-Jinja. Het is een van de verborgen culturele schatten van Oeganda en een deel is eigendom van Buganda Kingdom en een ander deel van de Anglican Church of Uganda. ... De Sezibwa-watervallen zijn 7 meter hoog met een prachtig landschap om te ontspannen en te genieten terwijl vogels zingen in de bomen.
Het Mabira-bos is een ongeveer 300 vierkante kilometer regenwoudgebied in Oeganda, gelegen in het Buikwe-district, tussen Lugazi en Jinja. Het is sinds 1932 beschermd als Mabira Forest Reserve. Het is de thuisbasis van vele bedreigde diersoorten zoals de primaat Lophocebus ugandae. Je kunt een korte wandeling maken in Mabira, waar je apen en ook verschillende vogelsoorten kunt zien.
De rivier de Nijl is de langste rivier van Afrika met het Victoriameer als bron. De rivier begint zijn 6.500 km lange reis naar de Middellandse Zee (Egypte) naast de stad Jinja (Oeganda) en bevat de Owen Falls Dam, de bron van waterkracht voor Oeganda, met een andere dam in aanbouw. U kunt een boottocht maken naar het hoofdpunt dat het "nulpunt" wordt genoemd

The guides are wonderful, the driver is a machine does it wonderfully. We have hired in Spanish and Faisa is a great Spanish speaker.

Visiting Jinja was absolutely a highlight of my trip to Uganda. The nile is so massive and to actually have a boat ride on the nile is something I can not easily forget. We saw many many birds and two big monitor lizards! It's really cool to see where to source of the Nile is. The boatman could tell us a lot about the history of the Nile, the birds and about Jinja city. Our accommodation was top notch, right at the Nile with an amazing sunset. Loved every bit of this trip!
