Jerez Winery Tour en wijnproeverij
Beschrijving
Deze reis is bedoeld om meer te weten te komen over de wijngeschiedenis van de stad Jerez de la Frontera. Een eendaagse wijntoeristische reis waarbij de hoofdactiviteit een bezoek is aan de wijngaarden van Tio Pepe, een van de populairste in de stad. Daar krijgen we een rondleiding en een proeverij van vier wijnen. We maken ook een rondleiding door de oude stad onder begeleiding van een gids die gespecialiseerd is in de geschiedenis. Aan het einde van het bezoek aan de wijnhuizen neemt hij ons mee naar een goed restaurant om ons te helpen bij het kiezen van een goed menu met de gastronomische specialiteiten van Jerez en de beroemde wijnen van Jerez. Daarna keren we terug naar Sevilla.

My partner and I had a wonderful time visiting the city of Jerez de la Frontera and tasting Sherry at Tio Pepe. We were surprised how much we enjoyed the dry Sherry. We had time to explore the town with our guide, do the tasting, and have lunch (not included). Our guide, Francisco, was amazing!! He was knowledgeable, polite, and fun. He kept saying that this was our tour and he could adjust to what we wanted to do with the free time. We definitely recommend this tour, especially if Francisco is your guide.

Our guide, Miguel, was the best! Very knowledgeable and personable. Jerez is a small city but still has much to offer the day tripper from Sevilla. The Tio Pepe tour was typical of similar types of tours we’ve done, but the guide we had there, Esther, was also very good and who can complain about sampling wines from Jerez (maybe not everyone’s taste). Highly recommended.

Miguel was an excellent driver and guide. A day trip to Jerez de la Frontera is a very pleasant day trip from Seville. The Tio Pepe complex is very impressive. The tour of the facility and the tasting took about 2 hours. One piece of advice….. pay the extra 4 euros at the tasting so you can samples 4 Jerez wines instead of just 2.

Arrived at the meeting point on time. No one there for tour. They checked and we had paid and had a ticket with QR code. No driver had showed up, so after many phone calls, they found a driver. Luis, was an exceptional tour guide and because we were the only ones booked, he went out of his way to make our tour memorable. He even dropped us off at our rental apt. Thank you Luis for saving our day!
