Vertrek uit Amman voor een uur durende rit naar Jerash. Reis naar het noorden in een voertuig met airconditioning en geniet van de passerende steden en woestijnlandschappen. Bij aankomst in Jerash betreedt u deze archeologische schat via de oude stadspoort. Gesticht door Alexander de Grote in de 2e eeuw na Christus en bekend als Gerasa, Jerash was een van de rijkste provinciesteden in het Romeinse Rijk. Terwijl je Gids (indien ingehuurd) fascinerende verhalen over de stad in de bloei van haar leven deelt, verken je haar bogen, theaters en prachtige gecolonneerde straat. Maak foto's van het intrigerende Oval Plaza, een ovaalvormig forum, en stel je het leven voor van degenen die deze plek ooit bewoonden.

Een prachtig bewaard gebleven tempel gewijd aan de beschermgodin van de stad.
Een ongelooflijk goed bewaard Romeins theater met een fantastische akoestiek. Je vindt hier vaak een lokale muzikant die een doedelzak bespeelt.
Deze tempel ligt op een heuvel met uitzicht op het Oval Plaza en biedt een panoramisch uitzicht.
Een grote openbare fontein gewijd aan waternimfen.
Dit is je grote ingang naar de oude stad. Een monumentale poort met drie bogen gebouwd om het bezoek van de Romeinse keizer Hadrianus in 129 na Christus te herdenken.
Dit is de belangrijkste straat met colonnades die door de stad loopt. U kunt wandelen langs de originele straatstenen, die nog steeds de sporen vertonen die door oude wagenwielen werden gedragen.

My driver, Berdaghawi, was on time, drove safely and added little touches like stopping for coffee and mint tea. I had as much time as I wanted at each stop and never felt rushed. He showed me around at the Dead Sea. The car was comfortable and cold water and Internet provided. Berdagawi spoke good English and was super friendly and helpful. It was a wonderful day trip.out of Amman,.beginning at 8am. I chose to return at 5.30.

Today we went visited at the Dead Sea. The trip itself was great, our driver was extremely nice, helpful and friendly. the environment where we were was great, the experience of floating on top of the water was phenomenal along with the mud wrap. if we are here again we would like Baden as our driver! we recommend him to everyone! 🙂

Outstanding Day Trip! We had an unforgettable trip from Amman to Jerash and the Dead Sea with our amazing driver Shadi. He was very professional and well-organized — he reached out to us a day before to confirm everything and made sure the car was ready and spotless. The vehicle was large, comfortable, and equipped with cold water, snacks, and Wi-Fi, which made the journey very pleasant. At the Dead Sea, we spent a wonderful afternoon swimming and relaxing at a 5-star resort, staying until sunset before heading back to Amman. He contacted us the day before to confirm all the details and arrived on time with a very clean, spacious, and comfortable car. He even provided us with cold water, snacks, and free Wi-Fi throughout the day. We had plenty of time to explore Jerash and then relax and swim at a 5-star hotel at the Dead Sea, staying until sunset. The whole experience was smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable from start to finish. The car was clean and didnt smell of smoke and was very comfortable. The driver ( forgot his name) was funny and friendly and very knowledgeable. You wont have any issues, price was reasonable. Enough time for everything.

Great driver and company. Bardaghawi was our driver, and he was punctual, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything. You will love this day trip, we did. He had plenty of cold water for us. The car was comfy and clean, and he was a good, safe driver.

Our driver was Mahmuod Awad and we can easily recommend his services. He arrived early, was easy to talk to and cared about our experience. The vehicle was air conditioned, spacuous and comfortable. We learned alot about the area on our way to Jerash. At the ruins he connected us with our excellent local guide and waited for us until we returned. Our favorite spots were the Roman theatre, the Temple of Artemis and the Nymphaeum Fountain. The Jerash ruins are a highly recommended side trip from Amman.

Excellent organisation with contact a couple days before our reservation. Shadi, our driver, was exceptionally knowledgable and an excellent driver. The site itself is impressive and we spent approximately two hours there.
