Jeep Sunset by the Algarve Mountains

De Sunset Safari begint in de late namiddag in Albufeira, waar de jeep u ophaalt voor een tour onder begeleiding van ervaren gidsen. Zij delen graag al hun kennis over de regio, van tradities en geschiedenis tot cultuur en de prachtige landschappen van de Algarve. Het absolute hoogtepunt van deze safari is de adembenemende zonsondergang vanaf de bergtop, die een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht biedt. Geniet van dit schitterende kleurenspektakel en beleef een onvergetelijk moment met een glas mousserende wijn, aangeboden tijdens de rondleiding. Onderweg reden we over landweggetjes tussen diverse fruitboomplantages en passeerden we dorpen waar we stopten om lokale producten te proeven, zoals honing en "Fire Water", een likeur van aardbeiboompitten.

Ontmoetings- en vertrekpunt voor de tour. Vanuit Albufeira vertrekken we voor de tour, we zullen de traditionele Algarve-huizen vinden. Onderweg zullen we irrigatiesystemen zien die werden gebruikt door de oude boeren van de Algarve en velen van hen uit de Romeinse tijd.
Bezoek aan het middeleeuwse kasteel, kasteel Paderne is een van de kastelen van de Portugese nationale vlag. Kasteel uit de Moorse periode, toen de Arabieren de Algarve nog domineerden. Op deze plek zullen we genieten van de schoonheid rondom.
Een bezoek aan het dorp Paderne, een traditioneel dorp in de Algarve waar we de kerk en de regionale architectuur kunnen bewonderen.
Een bezoek aan de boerderij van een lokale producent, waar we de deuren van ons terrein openstellen voor een proeverij van regionale honing en lokale medronho-brandewijn. Een plek waar de boer zijn eigen producten verbouwt. Een bezoek aan deze fantastische lokale boerderij biedt de mogelijkheid om kennis te maken met enkele dieren die op de boerderij leven. (een plek waar je vrijblijvend lokale regionale producten kunt kopen)
We stoppen even bij de waterfonteinen. Een beek met kristalhelder water waar we in kunnen afkoelen en zwemmen. (Mogelijk als er water in de fonteinen staat)
We passeren het dorp Alte, waar we opnieuw een traditioneel Algarve-dorp kunnen zien. Een plek met regionale en lokale winkels, waar we ook de prachtige Portugese vlag op een berg kunnen bewonderen.
Passage door de bergen van de Algarve, waar we kunnen genieten van het prachtige uitzicht dat de Algarve te bieden heeft. Stop voor zonsondergang in de bergen.

My kids loved the ride in the back of an open jeep (actually an UMM truck) and we were absolutely blown away by the gorgeous sunset A gazillion photos, selfies, pics, snaps,, etc. were taken. The driver was super friendly and accommodating making the entire experience easy to enjoy.
I wanted something memorable to finish off our holiday and we definitely got it! Ru was an amazing host and was witty and informative, whether it was talking about local vegetation or the more historical aspects. It was an exhilarating experience.
It was an absolutely great experience! We had Rui as our guide and amazingly there were only two of us on the tour. He told us a lot and it was very funny! We even got fresh oranges from the tree and the spot for sunset is awesome! Absolute recommendation and worth every cent!
This is the second tour we have taken with Sergio, who is the owner of the tour company and yet again we are glad we did. On this occasion we were able to get entry into the castle, which was closed on our last tour. Sergio is a natural guide and as well as having a lot of knowledge he makes everything fun. Due to the fact that there has been very little rain in the area this year, the waterfall was dry but he filled the gap with other points of interest and we got to visit the Windmill also. We also visited a small farm where we purchased the most fantastic Honey. We feel the trips are excellent value as well as great day out. Thank you Sergio
With Fred we had a very nice tour along many cool places. He knew a lot of the region and could tell things in a fun way. We had a nice day.
We, 18 year olds, with 4 experienced a wonderful day with guide Fred, we were picked up at our apartment where we stayed, which was free. We learned a lot about the region and its history, which sounds boring, but was very interesting, even for us. It was a pleasant ride and the guide was super, thank you very much for this. If we had the chance, we would definitely do it again!
Had a morning trip with Wife and two teens. All of us totally enjoyed the trip. Pick up for our hotel was on time. And our guide for the day José who was great and very informative. We visited the ruins of an old castle, working restored windmill, and even had time to stop off for a refreshing dip. All the time travelling off the beaten track through the countryside. Recommend this trip for anyone who wants to see the real Portugal away from the seaside towns.
Fabulous day out. Half day jeep safari tour to medieval castle ruins (amazing views of countryside), tasting local produce of almonds, honey and oranges from rural farm, beautiful picnic & swim area, and spectacular views of the Algarve countryside from highest point in the hills. Amazing day out for myself and teenage son. Miguel our driver and tour guide made the trip....really nice guy, and very informative. It was like spending the day with one of your close friends. Great character and an asset to your company. Highly recommend this tour.
