Laten we curry roux vanaf nul maken bij YUZU WASHOKU STUDIO, vlakbij het charmante Yanaka! Wanneer je het zelf maakt, kun je de smaak helemaal naar wens aanpassen. Japanse curry is een geliefd comfort food waar mensen van alle leeftijden van genieten. In deze hands-on les onder leiding van een thuiskok leer je hoe je curry vanaf nul maakt en perfect knapperige, goudbruine tonkatsu bakt – allemaal in een leuke, interactieve setting voor kleine groepen. We bieden eenvoudige, gemakkelijk te volgen recepten en delen tips over hoe je ingrediënten kunt vervangen door ingrediënten die in je eigen land verkrijgbaar zijn. Vegetarische opties zijn ook beschikbaar – laat het ons van tevoren weten. Onze studio is weggestopt in een rustige woonwijk in de oude binnenstad van Tokio. Hier krijg je een glimp van het alledaagse Japanse leven. Terwijl we samen koken, hoop ik dat je geniet van het ontdekken van de kleine details die een Japanse keuken speciaal maken. Ik kijk er echt naar uit u te mogen verwelkomen. Laten we samen genieten van koken in een warme, huiselijke Japanse keuken!

Yuki was extremely friendly and accommodating. She proceeded with the class even though I was the sole attendee and taught me a lot about the japanese culture as we cooked.

Very enjoyed this cooking class. The host is most accomodating and knowledgible. Even though I had already tried my hands on Japanese Curry, I could learn plenty of new things. Also the sesame pickled green beans were delicious.

Me and my wife came to Tokyo for our honeymoon. This cooking class was a lovely experience. Yuki is such an amazing host and cook. The food was absolutely delicious. Definitely come with an empty stomach. Highly recommend.

Yuki was an excellent teacher. She gives you great step by step instructions that are easy to follow and her English is very good. She has a fun personality and makes you feel right at home. I love her thoughtfulness to each detail of the class. I came with friends and we loved every minute! I will definitely be back to take more classes when I return to Japan. Thank you Yuki! 🥰

Such a wonderful experience at Yuma Washoku Studio with Yuki! The class was clean, organized, and easy to follow, and the katsu curry was absolutely delicious. I loved learning new techniques I can actually use at home. On top of that, the atmosphere was so warm and personable. It made the whole experience feel extra special. Highly recommend!

This class totally surpassed our expectations! From the excellent directions on how to find the location to the warm welcome and some refreshments from Yuki, we were off to a great start! Yuki started off with a bit of history around katsu and then explained all the different steps. She is terrific fun, speaks excellent English and kept the whole family busy making the different components of this dish which happens to be my husband’s favourite! Throughout the class Yuki explained about the set up of Japanese kitchens, buying produce, special kitchen tools, etc— loads of helpful tips. Everything is immaculate and super well organised — in no time we were sitting down to a delicious meal we had made! Could not recommend this class more highly!
