De charme van het paleis heeft dichters, schrijvers, kunstenaars en reizigers van over de hele wereld geïnspireerd, waardoor het een symbool is geworden van Rajasthan's rijke erfgoed en architecturale schittering.
Betreed de betoverende wereld van Purohit Ji Ka Katla, een verborgen juweeltje in de Roze Stad, versierd met prachtige trouwstoffen, jurken en sherwanis. Hoewel de toegangspunten misschien ontmoedigend lijken, blijft deze markt een schatkamer voor bruiloftsshoppers. Betreed de traditionele charme van deze groothandelsmarkt in de Johri Bazaar. Wees getuige van de levendige drukte terwijl de lokale bevolking en plattelandsbezoekers uit nabijgelegen gebieden hier samenkomen om de meest betaalbare goederen in bulk te vinden. Een beroemde markt voor de productie van Mawa. Mawa is ook bekend als khoya of khoa. Het is een zuivelproduct gemaakt van gedroogde, verdampte melkbestanddelen. Het is een belangrijk ingrediënt in veel Indiase zoetigheden, vooral in de noordelijke delen van het land. Deze markt handelt ook in edelstenen en halfedelstenen.
Deze magnifieke minaret met 7 of 8 verdiepingen is een iconisch wonder uit de 18e eeuw en staat bekend als de Victory Tower. Leg tijdloze herinneringen vast terwijl je de pracht en praal bewondert vanaf een schilderachtig uitkijkpunt langs de weg.

Aan het einde van de bruisende Tripolia Bazaar ligt Maniharon ka Raasta, een straat die nog steeds de koninklijke charme van vroeger uitademt. Deze uitgebreide markt dankt zijn bestaan aan de bescheidenheid van zijn burgers. Maniharon Ka Raasta staat bekend om zijn gevarieerde collectie lac-armbanden, die vrouwen van heinde en verre aantrekt. Deze armbanden zijn versierd met edelstenen en halfedelstenen, kralen, kristallen en andere prachtige verfraaiingen. Volgens de legende waren de bekwame vakmensen die deze lac-armbanden maken, uitgenodigd door Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh uit Manoharpur in Uttar Pradesh. Hier beheren islamitische Manihari-vrouwen niet alleen de winkels, maar houden ze zich ook bezig met het maken van deze ingewikkelde armbanden, waarbij elk stuk wordt doordrenkt met hun artistieke bekwaamheid.
Temidden van het ritmische gerinkel en gerinkel van metaal op Thatheron ki Gali, komen de momenten van rust naar voren als ongrijpbaar gefluister. In Jaipur herbergt deze historische straat de eeuwenoude traditie van bekwame gebruiksvoorwerpenmakers die bekend staan als de 'Thatherey'. De symfonie van hun ambacht resoneert door de tijd, waardoor deze bruisende steeg een schatkamer van cultureel erfgoed is.

- De meeste winkels en markten in de oude stad gaan open om 10.30 / 11.00 uur. De beste aanbevolen timing om de tour te starten is later op 11.00 tot 17.00 uur. Als u echter nog eerder wilt beginnen en wilt verkennen wat er op dat moment open is, wees dan onze gasten.
- De zondagen in de oude stad zijn minder bewogen. Veel lokale winkels en markten hebben beperkte openingstijden of blijven gesloten. Het is misschien niet zo leuk, dus vermijd het, tenzij je schema geen andere optie toestaat. We zullen ernaar streven om uw ervaring onvergetelijk te maken, ongeacht.
- Alle plaatsen die deel uitmaken van de tour zijn gratis van een toegangsticket, behalve de Hawa Mahal en Swargasuli Tower waar we een uitzicht langs de weg hebben. Mocht je naar binnen willen, dan nemen we je graag op en helpt je gids je de wachtrij over te slaan om de tickets te kopen. De toegang tot deze twee bezienswaardigheden sluit ongeveer een uur voor zonsondergang.

It was my first time in Jaipur and this tour was an excellent introduction to this amazing city, full of life, colour and history. Gaurav, with his local knowledge of his city and its history, and excellent English, was the perfect guide, and great company too! We were a group of 4 on our first ever visit to India and decided on Abby & Scout Tours after extensive online research (huge shoutout with thanks to fellow reviewers!). The challenge: Hit all highlights of the Golden Triangle in 7 days plus shopping and foodie tryouts on the side. Transporting from one city to another took around 20 hours even though we took the flight from Jodhpur to Delhi. During the trip we developed a taste for Ayurvedic treatments and wanted to squeeze that into the schedule. Our visit coincided with Mr. Trump's visit to the great Taj Mahal hence itinerary was changed to accommodate the closure of the city blocks. The highlights: Not the sights, shopping or food (though important), but our guide Mr. Sabir Sheikh. He gave new definition to the term "super guide" as he went the extra mile to accommodate every little request we made, from the iconic pictures and must-try street food to the unique experiences, such as tuk tuk around the markets, riding in an open jeep to the Tiger Fort (sunscreen and scarf recommended), dropping in unannounced to a wedding (inspired by the 3 Idiots movie) and shopping at every opportunity we get (showcasing the bargaining powers of Mr. Sabir). Note VAT charges on clothing items and food vary but can add up to 20% of the total costs. Also special thanks to our driver, Mr. Jaypal-ji, a man of few words and very steady hands on the wheel, and our guide Mr. Suresh in Jodhpur, who took obvious pride in his city and the beautiful Mehrangarh Fort. The tour is highly recommended only if you're looking for sterling service and outstanding experiences in the Golden Triangle. To answer a question I frequently get: Is a tour guide necessary? For this particular trip, my short answer is yes because a) we did not have the luxury of time, b) we did not have the local knowledge nor speak the local language. Having an experienced tour guide and strong follow-up from Abby & Scout (which checked on our progress with Mr. Sabir constantly) afforded us peace of mind.

We did the golden triangle including Agra and Jaipur. Malik, Our tour guide in Agra was really good and really cared about our wellbeing. Jaipur tour guide ( Mustak) was also very nice and didn't pressure us to purchase anything like we heard stories on internet. We would definitely recommend you.
