Uw dag begint met een ophaalservice om 06.30 uur bij uw hotel door uw privéchauffeur in een voertuig met airconditioning. Van daaruit ga je naar Agra, waar je getuige kunt zijn van de adembenemende Taj Mahal, bekend als het grootste monument van liefde ter wereld. Je krijgt ook de kans om het fort van Agra te verkennen en Fatehpur Sikri te bezoeken, de thuisbasis van een van de grootste poorten ter wereld.

Deze prachtige versterkte oude stad, 40 km ten westen van Agra, was de kortstondige hoofdstad van het Mughal Empire, tijdens het bewind van keizer Akbar. de eerste geplande stad van de Mughals en ook de eerste ontworpen in Mughal-architectuur, een samensmelting van Indiase architectuur, Perzische en islamitische architectuur. Het werd uitgeroepen tot UNESCO Werelderfgoed in 1986 ... !!
De magische uitstraling van The Taj Mahal. We zullen er niet veel over zeggen omdat woorden de schoonheid ervan niet kunnen rechtvaardigen, je moet het zelf zien, trekt toeristen naar Agra als motten naar een wonderbaarlijke vlam. En ondanks de hype is het net zo goed als je hebt gehoord.
Verspreid over een uitgestrekte 94 hectare, ligt dit enorme rode zandstenen fort parallel aan de Yamuna-rivier en ligt 2 kilometer ten noordwesten van de Taj Mahal. Het Agra Fort (Red Fort) werd oorspronkelijk bewoond door Sikarwar Rajputs en werd later veroverd door Lodi heersers van Delhi. nadat de Lodi's verslagen waren in de Slag bij Panipat, nam de overwinnaar keizer Babur het fort over. Nadat het fort even aan de Suri-heersers was verloren, werd het uiteindelijk teruggevorderd door Akbar die Agra tot hoofdstad van zijn land maakte.

Absolutely one of the best experiences of my life! The staff were very accommodating, especially for older travelers who wanted to go back to the hotel before our activities were finished for the day. We never had to ask more than once for any special requests. I personally wanted a souvenir cup from Starbucks (collect them for my kids). Our guide Raj and our driver made sure we made a quick 10 min stop to buy one.

Our family had an amazing trip visiting through agra, jaipur and delhi. Our driver zahir and tour guide mehraj made the trip memorable with being attentive and engaged throughout making us all laugh and eventually feel like family at the end of the trip. The trip was very interesting. Nassab received us very well and did not measure efforts to make the script and stops for food and bathroom that we needed during the journey. It was a long journey and we exchanged a lot of our culture. I highly recommend!

From the planning until the final drop off at our final destination, everything was smooth, flexible, accommodating, kind, easy, personalised, tailored, friendly, on time. We had a very short time because we only had 2 days to visit Jaipur, Agra (Taj Mahal) and finish in Delhi. Janu Tours made everything to suit our needs, they said "yes" to every reasonable request we made, so we could have a tailored tour for our needs, preferences and time availability. We were only seeking a guided tour, but we ended staying at Janu's Marigold Homestay instead of a major well known and reputed international hotel chain because Janu's Marigold Homestay had such good reviews that we were curious. Reviews were right, a clean, comfortable, spacious hotel room with everything you can expect from a good hotel, at affordable prices. Plus a relaxing roof top to drink a beer or eat something. We were picked up at Jaipur train station by our kind and helpful and patient driver, Jeetu on a comfortable mid-size SUV. We visited Jaipur during one day, and the next we went to Agra and of course the expected Taj Mahal without having to worry about anything, with the respective guides. Finally we were dropped at our hotel in Delhi. We couldn´t have asked for more. Both the Marigold Homestay and the driver also helped with currency exchange (USD, EUR) every time we needed at good exchange rates. The driver even lent us rupees when we ran out of rupees until we had time to exchange currency with him too. I will definitely recommend to anyone I know who plans to go to Jaipur/Agra. A suggestion, would be to ask the tourist if he is interested in seeing the marble workshop and store, before taking him there (not everyone is interested).
