Jain Temple Full-Day Tour van Jodhpur naar Udaipur

Deze tour vertrekt vanuit Jodhpur en neemt je mee naar de prachtige Jain-tempel in Ranakpur. De tempel heeft 65 jaar zorgvuldige constructie gekost vanwege de complexiteit van de constructie. De kelder van deze kolossale tempel is verdeeld over 48.000 vierkante voet. Er zijn vier ingangen naar de hoofdkamer waar het idool van Adinath wordt geplaatst. Daarnaast zijn er ook vijf pilaren in de tempel en bevatten ze elk idolen van verschillende Tirthankara's. De grootste pilaar, die in het midden van alle andere staat, heeft een afgod van Adinath. Na een bezoek aan de tempel wordt je naar Udaipur gebracht, waar deze tour eindigt.

Je wordt 's ochtends opgehaald door een Engels sprekende chauffeur van Jodhpur Airport, Jodhpur Junction Railway Station, Bus Station, of je centraal gelegen hotel in Jodhpur, en vertrekt naar Jain Temple in Ranakpur. Er wordt aangenomen dat de Ranakpur-tempel in de 15e eeuw werd gebouwd onder leiding van Seth Dharna Shah, die een volgeling was van het Jaïnisme en een zakenman van beroep. Hij bouwde de tempel met de hulp van Rana Kumbha, de koning van Mewar, wiens voorwaarde voor hulp was dat de tempel naar hem vernoemd werd. Er zijn vier ingangen om de hoofdkamer te bereiken, waar het idool van Adinath wordt geplaatst. Er zijn ook vijf pilaren in de tempel en elk bevat idolen van verschillende Tirthankara's. Very comfortable transfer from Jodhpur to Udaipur, the stop at the Ranakpur temple is spectacular. Quiet drive with the possibility of stopping for lunch, it's a shame that our driver didn't speak a single word of English, so communication was a bit difficult

The journey from Jodphur to Udaipur was just very good. We were picked up directly at the haveli. The car was very clean and appeared to be in good condition. Our driver Ganesh was very personable and friendly. In Ranakpur we took our time because of the beautiful temple. Wasn't a problem for Ganesh at all. Thank you Genesh for your patience and understanding. Ganesh is a very attentive driver and got us safely to Udaipur. Overall we would highly recommend Balaji Forex Tours & Travels.

Clean and well-kept. The marble carvings are exceptionally beautiful The temple c an be walked through.They charge an entrance fee

The chance to see the countryside between these two cities was excellent. Our driver was helpful and careful. THe temple itself was interesting and worth seeing, but doesn't match some of the other excellent places we visited in Rajasthan. We totally agreed that our driver, BIttu, was EXCELLENT

I travelled from Jodhpur to Udaipur with a stop at Ranakpur. Bittu the driver was super! Great driving skills, very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a fun day trip. Highly recommended!

We wanted to visit the Ranakpur temple and heard that Udaipur is very nice. We got our driver Bittü who was excellent. He was punctual and was super nice to pick us up at our hotel in Jodhpur. We had a very comfortable ride and he was fine with us spending a lot of time and Ranakpur temple. We even got a "safari" on the way as we saw a couple of crocodiles and peacocks. He was very knowledgable about the whole route. That he is booked for already the next weeks how wanted Bittü is. He also gave uas some good recommendations for food in Udaipur which we are going to try out. Thanks, Bittü for the excellent day!

I wanted to get from Jodhpurto Udaipur with a stop to visit Ranakpur. Bittu from Udaipur, Rajasthan was my driver for the day. He drove very well, speaks good English and made my day very enjoyable. As a solo traveller I felt very safe all day.

Travelled from Jodphur to udaipur with Bittu. Bittu is a very friendly and talkative guide, and tries to make you feel at ease. Ranakbur temple is impressive and worth a stop off on the journey.
