De tour begint bij Sami Port in Kefalonia, waar u aan boord gaat van de veerboot naar Ithaca. Geniet van de korte schilderachtige oversteek over de Ionische Zee terwijl u het eiland nadert, en zet de toon voor een dag vol geschiedenis, cultuur en adembenemende landschappen.
Onze eerste stop is Vathy, de hoofdstad van het eiland. Je hebt vrije tijd om te genieten van een kopje koffie op het centrale plein met de lokale bevolking, dwalen door smalle straatjes, of bezoek het Folklore en Maritiem Museum. Ithaca is het legendarische huis van Odysseus en is rijk aan Griekse mythologie en geschiedenis.
Klim vervolgens omhoog naar het Kathara-klooster, gelegen op het hoogste punt van het eiland. Hier geniet u van een prachtig panoramisch uitzicht op de ruige heuvels, turquoise baaien en omliggende eilanden van Ithaca. Neem de tijd voor foto's en geniet van de serene sfeer van dit historische klooster.
Ga naar het prachtige kustplaatsje Kioni, waar de lunch wordt genoten in een traditionele taverne aan de haven. Ontspan aan het water, geniet van verse lokale gerechten en geniet van het adembenemende kustlandschap. De ligging aan het water en de charmante straatjes van Kioni maken het een perfecte plek om te ontspannen en gedenkwaardige foto's te maken.
Op de terugreis passeren we Frikes Harbour, met een prachtig uitzicht op deze charmante haven als we terugvaren.
Bezoek het schilderachtige dorpje Stavros, een plek waar de tijd lijkt te hebben stilgestaan. Wandel door de rustige straatjes, bewonder traditionele stenen huizen en ervaar de lokale charme. Aan het einde van de tour komt de groep aan in de haven van Pisaetos, waar u de veerboot terug naar Sami Port in Kefalonia neemt. Dit markeert de afsluiting van de tour, waardoor u een ontspannen gelegenheid heeft om te genieten van uitzicht op de Ionische Zee tijdens de korte veerbootrit.

This is a great tour, was picked up on time and transported by bus on the ferry across to Ithaka. Our guide was very informative about Ithaka and the history of Odysseys. Ithaka is a beautiful island , very serene. We had a lovely lunch on Ithaka and was able to have some time to ourselves to do shopping and photo shoots.

We had a lovely time on this trip, we booked in the resort we where staying in Argostoli with the lovely Georgia who kept in contact with us and made sure we had all the relevant information for the lovely trip to Ithaca. The villages we stopped at were all very quaint and had enough time in each to have lunch or a coffee and souvenir shop. Would highly recommend the trip and if you are in Argostoli go and see the lovely Georgia near the main square.
