De traditionele bereiding van Turkse koffie omvat een nauwgezet proces dat begint met het selecteren en malen van koffiebonen van hoge kwaliteit om de perfecte fijnheid te garanderen. Wat de ervaring echter echt uitzonderlijk maakt, is de methode om de koffie op zand te zetten. In Istanbul worden speciaal ontworpen zandverwarmde koperen potten, bekend als "cezve", gevuld met water, koffie en suiker en op verwarmd zand geplaatst. Deze methode zorgt voor een zachte en gecontroleerde warmteverdeling, waardoor de smaken en aroma's van de koffie worden verbeterd. Met de pot genesteld in het warme zand bereikt deze geleidelijk de gewenste temperatuur, wat resulteert in een rijk, smaakvol brouwsel. I attended a Turkish coffee workshop and it was a truly authentic and engaging experience. I learned traditional preparation techniques and discovered the history and culture behind this unique drink. The atmosphere was welcoming and the instructors very passionate and helpful. I highly recommend this activity to those who want to live a different and typical moment during the trip!

This was one of our favorite activities in Istanbul. Efe was so much fun. We did not reserve the fortune portion, but Efe was willing to play along, looking in our coffee cups, googling what the images mean, and laughing with us.
Great experience. Mehmet gave us detailed instructions and showed us how to make Turkish coffee. It was really good. Would recommend.

Many thanks to Mehmet and Efe for the interesting experience. We brewed nice Turkish coffee, took many photos and videos and made the Turkish fortune telling. I saw the symbols of horse and a girl playing the harf. These symbols mean that I will have success in work and in emotional harmony 😊
