Deze tour is ontworpen voor reizigers die het echte Istanbul willen proeven als een local. Van de historische specerijenbazaar tot de levendige eetstraten van Kadıköy, gasten zullen traditionele bakkerijen, lokale streetfood, Turkse koffie, lahmacun, augurken en künefe ontdekken met een professionele lokale Gids. In tegenstelling tot een standaard food tour combineert deze ervaring authentieke smaken met lokale verhalen, verborgen plekjes en de dagelijkse cultuur van Istanbul. Etenskosten zijn inbegrepen en het formaat van de kleine groep maakt de tour persoonlijker, ontspannender en gedenkwaardiger.

We lopen de Egyptische Bazaar in om specerijen, Turkse desserts, lekkernijen, pistache koffie te proeven. Ook zullen wij kaas, olijven, honing, romige melk voor Turks ontbijt kopen
We bezoeken een van de oudste Han in het hart van Istanbul om thee en Pide te drinken, een traditioneel Turks flatbread dat in een steenoven wordt gebakken en wordt belegd met ingrediënten zoals kaas, gehakt of groenten. Pide wordt vaak 'Turkse pizza' genoemd en is geliefd om zijn knapperige korst, rijke smaken en versgebakken aroma.
Neem een veerboot van Europa naar Azië (Kadıköy) om het hoofdgerecht te proberen (Kokoreç, Iskender Kebap, Doner etc..)
Özcan Turşuları is een van de bekende traditionele augurkenwinkels van Kadıköy, beroemd om zijn handgemaakte Turkse augurken bereid met klassieke recepten en natuurlijke fermentatiemethoden. Het is al tientallen jaren een lokale favoriet en biedt bezoekers een authentieke smaak van de rijke streetfoodcultuur van Istanbul.
Borsam Taşfırın is beroemd om zijn traditionele steenoven lahmacun, vers gebakken met dun knapperig deeg en rijke Anatolische smaken. Het proeven van lahmacun hier is een perfecte manier om een van Türkiye’s meest geliefde straatvoedsel te ervaren in een klassieke lokale sfeer.
Künefe is een traditioneel Turks dessert gemaakt met knapperig geraspt gebak, gesmolten kaas en zoete siroop, warm geserveerd en belegd met pistachenoten. Bekend om zijn perfecte balans van knapperige en zachte texturen, is künefe een van de bekendste smaken van de Turkse keuken.

Very poor the tour operator didn’t turn up! We waited for an hour and called but he said he didn’t get the email
I've done a few food tours in cities and this was one of the best. Sude was a fantastic guide, very knowlegable and personable. We learnt about some of Istanbul and Turkey's history and tried some foods at some places we would not have otherwise. Very highly recommend this tour.

We did the food tour on our very first day in Istanbul and it was the best decision we made! Emray’s incredible knowledge of the city, paired with all the mouthwatering street food, turned it into such a memorable experience.
