Aankomst op Izmir luchthaven. Ontmoet door je gids met je naambord
rijden naar Efeze (45 minuten rijden) Bezoek eerst de Artemis-tempel waar zich een van de zeven wonderen van de Oude Wereld bevindt. Ga verder naar Efeze, loop door de geschiedenis langs marmeren straten met prachtige openbare gebouwen, waaronder de staat Agora, Odeon, Memnius Monument, de tempel van Domitianus, Polio-fontein, Curetes-straat, de Trajan-fontein, de baden van Scholastica, Hadrian-tempel , Latrina, Celcus Library, de poort van Mihridates en Mazues, Commercial Agora en The Grand Theatre zijn twee van de meest indrukwekkende gebouwen in Efeze. Grand Theatre werd gebouwd in de 3e eeuw voor Christus en werd later uitgebreid tot 24.000 toeschouwers door de Romeinen in de 1e eeuw na Christus. Na Efeze wordt de lunch geserveerd in de tuin van een lokaal handwerkcentrum. Hier kunt u enkele van de traditionele tapijtweeftechnieken zien die worden gebruikt en genieten van het bekijken van een aantal prachtige displays van prachtige tapijten.
Bezoek na de lunch House of Virgin Mary. Dit huis ligt in het Aladag-gebergte, op 8 km van Efeze. Op de derde Oecumenische Raad van 431 in Efeze werd beweerd dat Mary met St. John in 37 na Christus naar Efeze kwam en daar tot haar dood in 48 AD woonde. Na de ontdekking van het huis, verklaarde de aartsbisschop van Izmir het een plaats van bedevaart in 1892. Op 26 juli 1967 bezocht paus Paulus VI deze plaats en bad hier.

This is an amazing day trip. We were picked up from our Istanbul hotel and driven to the airport. Ekim met us in Izmir and provided an extraordinary tour. He was full of information and tailor the tour around our interests. Lunch was delicious. While we experienced some confusion about our final Istanbul transfer, the company went out of their way to help.
Since the hiring, everything has been great. Aylin gave me all the support, regarding the tour, sending all the directions and air tickets. We were picked up at the hotel with private transfer, to the airport of Istanbul from the Asian side. Then, arriving in Izmir, our guide Alex was waiting for us with a sign with my name at the landing. He spoke fluent English, which was very good, because Turkish is quite different for us Brazilians. Our private driver too, was excellent. We went, first to Maria's house, it was indescribable. We passed through historic sites such as the castle, the church of St. John, we went to Ephesus, to meet the Greek Roman city, in particular, the library of Adriano, we passed by a leather shop, which I recommend for quality, lunch at a place where I could know the work of the rugs and then, we were left at the airport and we returned to Istanbul. Thank you to the whole team!! I loved and have already indicated to friends in Brazil I wrote in Portuguese so other Brazilians can book and go, because this tour is inevitable when going to Turkey!

While in Istanbul on vacation, we decided to take a day trip to Ephesus. Curio Travel was amazing. Within an hour of contacting them, Aylin was on it, confirming airline books, tour guides, and shuttle services. With just two days notice, our itinerary was fixed and confirmed. Mind you this was on a Monday afternoon, with our intent to make the day trip on Thursday. The trip was amazing. The history, the sights, and the insight that was given by our private guide, Dudo, was fantastic. We are already planning our return trip to see more of Turkey, and Curio WILL be the agency that we use for our planning and booking.

My friend and I truly enjoyed our time in Ephesus with our guide, Sinan. Sinan was attentive, helpful, well-informed, and friendly. He was ready to adapt the tour to our needs. My friend and I learned much more than expected. Transportation was very comfortable and easy from the airport and throughout the day. We had time to explore the fascinating Roman ruins and learn from our knowledgeable guide. I hope to return to visit the archeological museum in the future.

This tour was a great experience compared to your typical tours in the big cities such as Istanbul. Our tour guide, Cuynet, was extremely knowledgeable and explained various aspects of the places we visited, including a detailed history dating back to Roman times. We had a great lunch which was included with the tour and our tour van was very comfortable. I would book again in a heartbeat!!

The tour started with our wonderful guide Pinar greeting us with a very warm smile at the Izmir Airport. We really enjoyed the itinerary for the day and Pinar was extremely knowledgeable in explaining in great detail the history and its relevance to Ephesus. The door to door hotel pick up and drop offs were also very convenient.

From hotel pickup, to the transfer to IST airport and flight bookings, collection at Izmir airport, tour of Ephesus, mother Mary‘s house, St John‘s Basilica and of course the included lunch couldn’t have been planned, presented and executed better. She spoke english very well and she provided so much information. The history of the area‘s we visited is so old and fascinating. Devrim really contributed to us having an incredible experience.
