Eerst ervaar je de meest diverse en vaak leukste plek aan de Aziatische kant van de stad. Onderweg ontdek je coole graffiti, straatkunstfestivals en het leven in Kadıköy. Hier leert u belangrijke feiten over het Turkse ontbijt en probeert u traditionele Turkse ontbijtgerechten en Turkse thee op een van de beste plekken in de stad.
Vervolgens probeer je een handgemaakte pide terwijl je leert hoe ze worden gemaakt en zie je hoe de chef-koks voor je ogen pide maken. Je ervaart ons geheime heerlijke gerecht
Je leert over het dagelijkse leven van de lokale bevolking, de geschiedenis van de Turkse koffie en over de fascinerende geschiedenis van ons eten en onze cultuur terwijl je je Turkse koffie en wijn drinkt.
Je passeert de lokale markt in Kadıköy, probeert een heel oud traditioneel Turks gerecht genaamd Lahmacun en leert over de geschiedenis van dit gerecht en waarom belangrijk voor de lokale bevolking.
Je loopt door de antieke straat, ontdekt de paraplustraat en de barstraat en leert over de barcultuur in Kadıköy. Je zult verdwalen als de lokale bevolking in de achterafstraatjes van de stad. Je ontdekt de hoofdstraat met de tram en het beroemde ontmoetingspunt Kadıköy.

It’s a lovely way to learn about local foods with some history thrown in. Not the easiest is you are a bit wobbly on your feet. We were lucky and had a very nice guide.

An amazing way to get an introduction to Turkish food and experience the Asian side of Istanbul! Melis was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, not just about food but also fascinating information about Turkish tradition and folklore. The food was incredible at every stop and included a picturesque restaurant that felt like a secret garden where we enjoyed our first Turkish coffee and local wine. Don't miss this tour!

My fiance and I had a wonderful walking tour through Kadikoy with Secret Foot Tours Istanbul. It was the perfect way to see more of the city, particularly the Asian side a bit farther away from the biggest attractions, and to try excellent versions of some of Turkey's most famous dishes. There is so much to see and try in Istanbul and having an expert guide to what to try and where was an immense help. Our guide Melis was very friendly and knowledgeable and really helped make the tour an unforgettable experience. An excellent tour and highly recommended! Our Guide Jeremy was fantastic - he was a great ambassador for both Istanbul and the company. He was very knowledgeable about the area and the food, took us to some fantastic places and looked after us extremely well. The whole group had a lot of fun!

Jeremy was a great tour guide. Really friendly and knowledegeable. Despite the rain we had a really interesting and delicious time. The walking was not strenuous and we saw a range of different areas. Jeremy gave us lots of information beyond the food but also helped link the tastes to different parts of Turkey.
