Gedikpasa Hamami biedt een unieke Turkse badervaring, doordrenkt van 550 jaar geschiedenis die werd gebouwd tot een 2350 vierkante meter zone in het oude stadsdeel van Istanbul door het commando van Gedik Ahmet Pasha in 1457, met een adembenemende 16 meter hoge cieling . Dit historische bad ligt tegenover de iconische Grote Bazaar en is niet alleen een plek voor reiniging , maar ook een reis naar het hart van de Turkse traditie , waar u als man en vrouw in aparte secties wordt bediend , met diensten van therapeuten van hetzelfde geslacht , verschillende massages en een selectie van Privacy . Bij binnenkomst in de hamam wordt u begroet door de warmte van marmeren vloeren en de zachte echo van water. Het ritueel begint met een ontspannend stoombad, dat je huid voorbereidt op de volledige peeling die volgt. Een ervaren begeleider gebruikt een traditionele kese (schrobhandschoen) om dode huid te verwijderen, waardoor je verfrist en gerevitaliseerd achterblijft. Gedikpasa Hamami om uw unieke hamamervaring te combineren met massagemogelijkheden, waardoor de ervaring wordt verbeterd.

We wanted a unique Turkish experience and a bath in a 550year old Hammam did this! An amazing bucket list item ticked off! Sofia was kind, gentle and understanding! Highly recommend this!

I had no idea what to expect, except for the massage part. My therapist Turkan was lovely, guided me through all the steps of the experience, was very friendly and experienced. I loved everything - from the heated floors on which you lay, to the washing and scrubbing (I felt like a vulnerable baby, in the best way), to the oil massage and little rest & treats afterwards! If you've never experienced hamam baths & massage - DO IT!! It's like nothing else out there, you'll feel CLEAN and relaxed like never before. Also it's an old historical building and it's beautiful, the chandeliers are gorgeous, there's a little fountain and it's very clean. The receptionists are lovely and friendly too! Honestly couldn't be happier with my experience! 🙏🏼

Attracted by an advertisement on a well-known site for finding guides and experiences, we booked a treatment of about an hour: relaxation on warm marble, vigorous washing with a bristle brush, warm foam, and massage, followed by rinsing. Relaxation. The final touch is tea and loqum. Rejuvenated. Males and females separated, of course, the person taking care of you is of the same sex.

Authentic Turkish Bath experience in a historical ancient hammam with a very nice staff. My attendant (Omar) was kind, generous with the time & techniques (body scrub, foam bath, massage). Also, he spoke English & was personable. My wife's experience was less personable and was somewhat rushed...finished 20 minutes before me. Also, there is no music on the women's side. She also was uncomfortable on the marble slabs. But everyone's experience can vary based on age and various medical issues. Overall, a noteworthy special event for the body & soul.
