Het eiland Skye staat bekend om zijn ruige landschappen, pittoreske vissersdorpjes en middeleeuwse kastelen. Vergeet niet mee te nemen wandelschoenen met je mee. Een van de mooiste natuurlijke landschappen op het eiland Skye is Quiraing. (Grote touringcar kan niet stoppen bij deze attractie; deze zal worden vervangen door het Neist Point). Op onze weg terug naar het dorp Portree stoppen we bij de Old Man of Storr. Na deze lange wandeling verdien je rust in Portree village. Je gids neemt je mee naar een typisch restaurant in de omgeving lunchen. Zodra u uw energie heeft teruggekregen, bezoeken we de haven van Portree. Ons bezoek aan het Isle of Skye zou niet compleet zijn zonder Dunvegan Castle & Gardens te bezoeken. LET OP: er komen lange wandelingen bij kijken IK MIS JE NU AL!!

De Quiraing-wandeling is een lus die door enkele van de meest spectaculaire landschappen van Schotland loopt. De heuvelrug werd gevormd door een enorme aardverschuiving die hoge kliffen en rotspunten heeft gecreëerd. Zet uw camera's klaar voor adembenemende uitzichten. (Grote touringcar kan niet stoppen bij deze attractie; deze zal worden vervangen door het Neist Point).
Old Man of Storr dankt zijn naam omdat de rotsomtrek en de uitstekende top lijken op dat van het gezicht van een oude man. Bevindt zich in het noorden van het eiland.
De haven van Portree die nog steeds wordt gebruikt door vissersboten en pleziervaartuigen.

Dunvengan Castle and Gardens. Dit bekroonde kasteel en landgoed in de Hooglanden is doordrenkt van geschiedenis en clanlegende; het is al 800 jaar het voorouderlijk huis van de Chiefs of the Clan Maclead. Ticket inbegrepen.

Our guide, Willie, was really accommodating about making sure we hit all the spots that were on our wish list for the day. He mapped out a route that allowed us to see everything and was open to changes along the way. He was also flexible with the timing at each stop and easygoing about our request for multiple coffee stops :).

Just Hooked in Portree sells the most wonderful fish/shellfish. We have had superb Hake, Halibut/Fish Pie Mix/Samphire Everybody so helpful to provide a premium product - not over priced

Fiona is a lovely lass, great driver and Isle of Skye native who answered every possible question about her homeland with humor and insight. She guided us to all the beautiful natural wonders of the Isle. She took care that we were comfortable, had rest stops and arrived at Dunvegan Castle with plenty of time to tour and have “a wee bit” of refreshments. Would definitely recommend her tour!

We loved our tour around the Isle of Skye with Willie. There were 5 in our group and all had a great day. He was very knowledgeable, kind and patient. He took us everywhere we wanted to go, and to places we did not think about. No worries about parking, he would drop us off, and we would spend as much time as we wanted in any location. We were able to visit many places in just the one day, and we never felt rushed. -impossible to do that ourselves! And having a local guide was the best! Definitely recommend this tour to get the most out of your time on Skye.

Had the best tour with Rab, we covered a lot of ground with the limited time we get from the ship. We covered popular areas and off the beaten path sites. Such a beautiful area and it was great doing it with a private guide, miss the crowds and control what you want to see.
